Another great cruise with Carnival! We also went to Costa Maya on this cruise. It was a replacement port since Grand Cayman hadn’t opened back up yet. We booked our excursion with an all inclusive at National Beach Club for the day while there. It was nice and we’d go back. For this trip we booked all excursions through Shore Excursioneer. Never an issue.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Another smooth embarkation even with no one having FTTF and higher level VIFP’s not getting priority boarding. Loved that we just did a quick check in at muster with a 5 minute demonstration of how to use our life jackets and then you just watch a video later in the day in your cabin.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Ate at the steakhouse the first night and it was tasty although small portions. Guys, Blue Iguana, Pizza all good as per usual. We had any time dining this time and didn’t really enjoy. The dining room felt hectic this time so we just ate every where else the rest of the week and that was just fine
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We hung out at Adult Serenity most of the time so didn’t really partake in any of the activities other than we did enjoy a movie on the Lido Deck one night.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Our room steward was present just enough when we needed him.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We loved the Pride. It was the perfect size. Not too big and not too small. It was clean and the decor was fine.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This cabin was in a great spot. Also, loved the extended balcony!
Took a tour with Percy of Royal Belizean Tours. We had him all to ourselves for the day so really got to ask all the questions we had of Belize City. He took us to a restaurant for empantanadas to start the day, then on to a local fruit stand for fresh pineapple, a bakery for a treat, went to the Belize sign for pictures, toured the city and finished our day
With lunch at Thelma’s!
Went to Little French Key. What a beautiful place and friendly staff. I hear they’ve had issues again with either the government or family so aren’t currently able to book. I hope that changes soon. We’d return again for a visit. The food was great and water was beautiful!
