Review summary

Cruise was good overall. Glad to be back cruising after Covid

Embarkation

We downloaded the VeriFLY app and it did help make the embarkation process super smooth for us. Nice to be able to have all of your needed information in one place.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Giving this 4 stars only because the food quality was ok. Guys burgers were great as usual, pizza, Deli and Blue Iguana were good as well. For some reason though I had a hard time in this cruise finding things that I liked on lido dinner buffet and in the main dining room. Of course, Guys was closed before the dinner buffet opened so if I didn’t view menu ahead of time, I was left with pizza as a default or one of the dining opinions that had an up charge.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools are great, especially the adults only pool in Serenity area.

Entertainment

Not sure if it was due to the pandemic and staff shortages, but we were disappointed that there were not any of the Playlist performances on this cruise. Piano bar was ok. We always go to the piano bar on all of our cruises, but we were not impressed with the gentleman in there this time. Adult comedy was great!

Service and Staff

Great service all around. Igor in the sports bar was AMAZING!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Pride is a smaller an older ship. We tend to live these ships more than the newer bigger ships due to ease of finding everything. We also love the “old school” cruise decor. Staff did a great job keeping everything tidy and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Standard interior cabin, room was always cleaned before we got back onboard from port of call.

Ship tip

Remember that she is an older ship, she has some wear on her but is still a great ship.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

Love cruising out of this port. It’s a beautiful facility and we never have any issues. We did not do an excursion here as we used to live here. 🤗

Cozumel, Mexico

I usually give this port a 5 star rating as it is usually our favorite port. We rented a dune buggy for the day, drove around the island exploring the beaches, did some shopping and ate locally. We noticed that the folks outside of port were a lot pushier than they have been in the past did not take no for an answer and one guy even cussed at my husband when he kept telling him no.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
This port is ok. Not my favorite. We got a taxi, toured the island, got some local cuisine- chicken, beans and rice. Went to the rum museum.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Great beach, great shopping! We got a taxi and went to AJ’s to see/hold Sloths, monkey’s and a red macaw 🦜. Rode around the island and did a little shopping at a local market.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We did self assist and disembarkation was as smooth as embarkation, no issues whatsoever. We were off the ship by 8:30-9:00am.
