Review summary

Overall Dr. E was very entertaining and friendly, will plan another cruise for 2021 but probably not on the pride.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Easy to do. No problems getting in just a short wait while getting thru security.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food in the Normandie was mediocre at best. For the main dining it should have been better. The buffet food was bland and not many options. The carnival deli had some good sandwiches made to order. The overall options were enough to keep from being hungry. Now if you don’t mind burgers, Guys burgers were a hit as well as Blue Iguana, the tacos and burritos (actual taco bowls) were great. Chefs table was an amazing experience!! Great food for an adventurous couple.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The shows were great. Plenty to suite everyone. Roman the comedian was hilarious.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
She Grindz was fun and engaging. Roman was a great comic for both pg and adults. The 80’s show was awesome.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was exceptional. Always smiling and friendly.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It’s an older ship showing signs of wear and tear but always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Obstructed view but plenty of space and clean.

Ship tip

If your looking for good food, don’t set your expectations high. Settle for mediocre food but enough of options to be content.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
I enjoy Nassau. Cable beach water was rough so it made it tough to enjoy the water. You will get hounded to purchase chairs and an unlimited coconut drink but just say no and keep moving if your not interested. Junkanoo beach was calmer and way closer to the port. Don’t bother going anywhere else if you want to stay close to port and not have to hustle back.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Excellent time spent lounging in the sun and water. Tender to shore was a few minutes ride. Plenty to do to keep you busy if needed. The lunch was nothing special but again kept you satisfied. The drinks are priced same as ship.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
Didn’t venture away from port and only went out to get some food. Not much to do with the short time spent here.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Long process and very chaotic process.
