Review summary

This was a relaxing cruise to sneak in before winter arrives. The crew were friendly and the smaller ship made for a more intimate experience.

Embarkation

We had Faster to the Fun. Total time from exiting the Uber to stepping on the ship was under ten minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Bonsai Suchi and David's Steakhouse were both excellent. We had such a positive experience with our waitress Sanja, we requested her for our second visit to David's. Carnival has added more healthy options to the Lido stations, though the lunch time desserts are still better to look at than eat.

Grand Buffet

5 out of 5

Nice selection of foods, so I could make healthy (or not) choices

Amazing ginger fried rice and sauteed vegetables

Excellent old-fashioned, experienced bar tenders who know your name

Fresh, tasty sushi. They were willing to make me an avocado roll.

BlueIguana Cantina

Delicious Mexican food for lunch and breakfast. Highly recommend trying a breakfast arepa

Onboard Activities

Fittness center and Serenity deck were excellent. I walked on the jogging track each morning- always clean and tripping hazzard free.

Serenity Aft Pool

4 out of 5

Small, but adults only, so worth the size in exchange for the calm

Crystal Card Room

5 out of 5

Beautiful view of ocean, good selection of games, and friendly passengers

Serenity Adult-Only Retreat

5 out of 5

Perfect quiet getaway. Having a 21+ pool and area is important to us. This is a great retreat from children

Fitness Center / Aerobics Studio

5 out of 5

Used the treadmills in the afternoon and mornings when jogging track wasnt available due to high winds.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Comedians were hilarious and the Coconotes were fun to listen to. We followed the Eureka Strings each night to listen to them while enjoying our pre-dinner cocktail.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone, except the assistant butcher at the Blue Iguana during lunch, was warm, friendly, and went out of their way to get to know you. Our dining room wait team of Wayan and Kathlen were phenomenal.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This ship is smaller than others we've sailed on. It is filled with comfortable seating areas that gave the impression of being in a living room. I walked at 5"15am and saw firsthand the entire ship being cleaned top to bottom daily.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Take a stroll through the sunset garden; it's a hidden gem.

Fast em/debarkation

Grand Turk Island

This is our 7th time visiting. Always enjoy the Beach Whale for a drink. This time we did the Reef, Conch, and Rays excusio. The crew were wonderful; we will do this again.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Port is built for tourists; extremely well planned. The Island Buffet, bordered on inedible, so we went back to have lunch on the ship.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Did not visit port

Damaged from hurricane
