Review summary

Loved the boat. Had a great cruise. But things are way too expensive. Photos are absolutely ridiculously priced, beyond ridiculous. And adding tips to everything after you already prepaid gratuities is a little nickel and diming. That needs to change.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Actually was one of the more hectic ones. They separated our family was checking in.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our dinner crew was the best we have ever had on a cruise. I would book another one wherever they were if I knew I would have them again.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Wish the pools were bigger and fresh water. Water slides were cool.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were good even though they repeated the lip sync show from last year on a different boat.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
They had a great time in the teen clubs.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Awesome. Best waiters ever. Room stewards were great too.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean. Our 6th cruise and 6th different boat. Pride may be our favorite even over the Vista.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very clean and comfortable. Would be nice if it was bigger but that’s obvious.

Ship tip

Loved the boat. Wish things were more reasonably priced though.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

4 out of 5
Downtown was cool.

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
Loved how the locals weren’t pushy when shopping.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Awesome water and beaches.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

2 out of 5
Not much to do. Everything is too far away for the amount of time you are there.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Fast and efficient

And DiegoZZ, I’m loose bro, I just work hard for my money.

Well for one example, we bought my father-in-law a massage and they added a tip without even telling us and then took his money for a tip when he got it without letting him know we already paid for it. There were tips added to drinks even though we bought the beverage package among other things. I have no problem tipping but tipping has been and always should be based on service provided. And our service was awesome all over the ship but the prepaid gratuities are not chump change so when is enough enough? But it’s not so much the tipping. The photos are outrageously overpriced. Like beyond ridiculous. They’re awesome quality but you would have to be really irresponsible to spend that much money on pictures. And then to top it off, when we went to Half Moon Cay (a Carnival owned island) and they charged me for soda at the bar even with the beverage package. That I could not understand, it should be just like being on the boat. With all that being said, none of it will ever deter me from continuing to cruise. I love it, I love Carnival and every one of our cruises have been awesome and so has the ships crews. But these were just some of my concerns. That’s what reviews are for right?

Your on vacation, loosen up, spend some of your money.

Yea! I won’t be adding extra tips after I’ve already tipped.. too much

Gratuity is also included in the beverage packages. What did you have to tip extra on?

Prepaid tips are for cabin stewards and all housekeeping personnel. They don't go towards anything else
