Review summary

This was a nice cruise. There were a lot of kids on board so we stayed at the Serenity pool. I would have liked to have seen more security around to keep the kids under control, most were running around without parental guidance. The staff and cruise director made the experience wonderful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There was a nice variety on the buffet however, I like to have a nice sit down meal at dinner and the food in the dining room was just "OK". It was never hot very different from how the food used to be on a cruise ship. We did go to the specialty restaurant and for the additional money it was nice.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The activities were well organized and the Cruise Director Dr. E was hysterical. Some of the activities were mostly trying to sell you something ie: spa however, if you are interested in any of the extras I would recommend going because they offer huge discounts.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the on board crew member's were there to make everyone's experience the best. Our room steward Arvin was wonderful and made sure we had a clean room and ice everyday. I wish I knew the names of everyone especially the dining room/cooks/Buffett servers, guest services because they were all wonderful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The only areas that I think could use some attention would be the public rest rooms. They were not normally very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was good, cabin clean, bed was comfortable but small (normal for cruise). The bathroom was a little outdated but overall temperature and very comfortable.

Ship tip

Utilize the Carnival Hub it is wonderful and gives you more details about the activities.

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Grand Turk Island

Very nice port but if your not interested in shopping go on an excursion. Margaritaville is there but why pay for food when you can get it on the ship. Next time I will rent the dune buggies I heard it was fun.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
The best beach in the world it was so much fun. Make sure to get to lunch before 12:30 we missed it because we thought it was for the whole time.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Similar to Nassau. If you want cheap gifts to take home shop here.

Disembarkation
