Review summary

Two families of four with kids between 8-11 had rooms right next to each other. We had the deck doors opened so we shared one big deck. This was great! We loved the late dining! We didn’t feel rushed and still made it to all the shows/activities we wanted to see. The one and only thing I would change about the ship is to make the Casino area non-smoking.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We had Faster To The Fun and were the first group on the ship (after diamond and platinum).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room was AMAZING! Our servers Rupling, Cheppy and NiLuh went above and beyond every single night! The dishes were delicious and the desserts were fabulous! Highly recommend trying the alligator and the chocolate molten lava cake!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools, especially the water slides! The table games and yard games at the Red Frog Pub were favorites of our group.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The DJ’s and live bands were fantastic! We enjoyed the Hasbro Family Game Night and the family-friendly comedy shows. We weren’t impressed with the mentalist show but a lot of people seemed to enjoy it.

Children's Programs

We did not utilize the kids camps.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Mark was THE best! He was very attentive to our needs and so great with our kids! Nih-Lu in the Main Dining Room and also on Deck 9 was perfect! She always helped us find a table, made sure we had drinks and made very pleasant conversation. Rupling and Cheppy, our Main Dining room servers, were so funny and energetic. They had us all dancing and laughing even when we were so full from dinner!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The only reason I would not give this section 5 stars is because the ceilings on the Odd side of Deck 8 were constantly dripping water for the duration of the cruise. It causes minor inconveniences for us (ladders and workers in the narrow hallways).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The pull down bunk and sofa/converter were very comfortable. All the bedding was soft and clean. The deck was a great place to have coffee in the mornings. We were amazed that the hot water in the shower NEVER ran out!

Ship tip

Bring an extension cord if you have a CPAP machine

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland

Only visited the cruise terminal but it was very efficiently run.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
The beach was massive and this was THE spot to snorkel. The picnic lunch was yummy but be prepared to swat away flies!

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We visited Atlantis in Nassau. We didn’t book an excursion through Carnival, rather booked a hotel room at the Comfort Suites where you get day passes to Atlantis. We checked in and out of the hotel and received our day passes by 9am. We were able to explore the entire Aquaventure Waterpark between 10am - 3pm. I would NEVER pay full price for the Atlantis Aquaventure - it’s just a Waterpark.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
This port was the most beautiful of the trip! We visited the Grand Lucayan area and fell in love with the soft white sand, crystal clear water and seclusion!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
With Faster to the Fun and carrying our own bags off, we were off and through security by 9:30am.

I too agree, the casino is very smokey. I don't gamble so I even avoid going through the casino by going up and through the shops. However, they make money there and cater to the smokers. Love the Pride.
