If you want a "party" cruise Carnival is your best bet. Be aware that you will be double charged - they add 18% to every onboard purchase and they also add a generous gratuity on top of that - so you end up paying more than 30% above the list price for massages, alcoholic beverages, etc. This ship is in desperate need of a complete overhaul - lots of areas that showed signs of water damage, leaking, and extensive wear and tear. Food in the restaurant and the steakhouse was quite good.

Food and Dining

The steakhouse was amazing - from the service, the food and especially the staff. It was a wonderful evening we will not soon forget.
Onboard Activities

Comedy club was mixed - one performer was excellent and the other was a dud. Live shows were creative and entertaining. We also enjoyed the Serenity Spa and gym.

The wait staff in the restaurants were amazing and the room stewards tried hard. Room service staff could not seem to get orders correct.
Ship Quality

This ship is OLD and needs a complete overhaul. Lots of water leaks and areas showing excessive wear and tear.
Cabin / Stateroom

Water leak directly above our door. At one point, water was GUSHING out onto the door and the carpet. We reported it the first day of the cruise - nothing happened. Third night we came back to find someone had placed a large commercial dryer in our room to try and dry out the carpet. The smell of mildew was overpowering.
Carnival - and the other cruise lines - need to commit to banning plastic. We were handed plastic silverware wrapped in plastic and each drink had a plastic straw. There was plastic floating in the ocean and littering the beach. It's 2019 people - you can do better!
Freeport has been so badly damaged by hurricanes over the last several years. They are trying to recover - we recommend Taina Beach. Not one recommended by the cruise lines - more of a "locals" beach - lovely, good food, water toys and friendly people.
