Review summary

The Good - Overall , the cruise was great. Yes, the ship has some age. I had doubts about going after reading reviews but it was in good shape. I am one that looks for flaws. It was hard to find them on this ship. You really had to look. The majority of the people from the stewards to the waiters to the crew all made you feel special. The whole crew really work their butts off to make sure you enjoy your trip. We were impressed how the staff knew all our names .The Cruise Director, Dr. E was a blast. He did not disappoint. Comedians were super, Overall entertainment was good. Now for the bad - Lots of rude people thinking they own the ship. People yelling at staff that are trying to help you. People dropping food and not picking it up. Allowing 24 children in one jacuzzi. Yes! 24. We did miss one port due to inclement weather but that is not anyone's fault. I am sure the crew wanted a port stop but stepped up and made it a fun day for all on the seas. I am sure I am missing some bad things and lots of good things. Again, For a first time cruiser this was a fantastic time. I am going on another cruise in February with a different cruise line and feel worried I wont have as good of a time.

Embarkation

We had Faster to the Fun which made my entire family able to get on board faster and other benefits.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drinks were available all the time. Buffet was pretty much the same food but was always good. Guys Burgers, 24 hour pizza, dining room and other places were great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
This may be the only place I give an okay. Leaving Baltimore in December the pools were not heated. Once we got to warmer areas south the pools were still extremely cold. Not a lot for middle teenage kids to do on ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were good, Dj was good. Comedian Doug Williams was fabulous. Cruise Director Dr. E. was exceptional. Going on another cruise with my wife in February. Dr. E. He put the ceiling extremely high. Cant imagine there is a better cruise director out there.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service and staff were exceptional. These staff work extremely hard to make your vacation something special.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean. Every time I turned around someone was cleaning. My wife was running on a treadmill and she said someone was cleaning it as soon as she got off of it. I do agree with other negative reviews about the casino and where it is on the boat.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had a cabin with a balcony. Very nice room however, the room was very small for 4 people (my fault). Next time I take my children we will spend a little extra to get two rooms.

Ports of call

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Nice island. Beach was okay. Like previous reviews where you get in the water is a little rocky buy once you get past the rocks the sandy bottom is nice. I suggest water shoes.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Nice city once you get past all the hagglers. We walked the city and then walked over to a resort. It cost a little bit of money to get in but was it much cheaper then some of the excursions. Plus you got a lot of the benefits. A private beach, pool, games, drinks. Good Times.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Did not visit port

Did not make it to Freeport. Weather was bad.

Disembarkation
