Fir as much as we pay for cruise, all food and drink should be included except of course the steakhouse stuff. Excursions are overpriced also. Not sure if i will go with carnival again or with another line that includes more for the price.
Embarkation

Ship was late and lost most of the day. Only got $15 to cover half a day. Didnt even cover the extra transportation that was needed.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Its implied that there is a wide variety of food available 24hrs. But its disappointing to find out that late nite you have to pay extra. Pizza and ice cream are only 24hrs. Hot dog bar made up their own hours. The deli was the worse thing. Most of the sandwiches were premade and just popped in toaster to be heated up.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Some of the pool areas were closed off for some of the trip due to having to make up time. The last nite and nicest nite of the trip had the 21+ pool deck closed off for a private party. This not being told to everyone in advance is disappointing when you want to get away from the dozens of kids in the main pool.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Cookie and Cheeky Charlie were amazing. They made the trip worth all the negatives. The shows were very good. You can tell the dancers enjoyed working together. The fun squad was enjoyable as well, especially Sabrina. She did a great job with the different trivias. Even if she didnt know something, she had no problem interacting with guests to get it right.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room stewardess, Ayu, was perfect. Anything we could ask for, she got with no hesitation. She was very approachable and friendly in the halls.
Ship Quality

I feel that having the casino in the midfle of the ship is a horrible design. Thats the most trafficked area for everyone. Smokers and nonsmokers. Shouldnt force nonsmokers and kids to go through the smoke or take long routes around the casino just to get to destination. Casino needs to be on one end of boat and ventilation needs to be highly improved.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was exactly what was described by friends. Little cramped but im a big guy.
Ship tip
Skip the buffets. The best food is in the restraunt.
Y'all aren't doing this right...I had 2 free bottles of champagne from hanging out in the art auction š¤£ I ended up winning a bunch of raffle drawings cuz no one stuck around at the end
The Pride is very reasonably priced. You can pay the ābaseā rate and enjoy yourself. Plenty to eat and drink right off the start. If you want to eat off times or drink other drinks, then you pay a bit more. Not crazy in my book. If you take another cruise, I recommend that you budget for the extras and put it on your Sign and Sail card when you get on the ship. $300 would be quite a bit actually. Pretend it is the price of the cruise. Then eat and drink when and what you want. Maybe at the end of the week youāll even have a little left over. It is just my advice. If you look for a cruise that has ALL inclusive, you will pay a whole lot more than $300 extra. Everyone that doesnāt smoke complains about the smoke. I am sure Carnival has done the research and, at least for now, the money brought into the casino by the smokers is better for the bottom line than keeping the non-smokers happy. If the bottom line swings the other way, the smokers will be sitting on the top deck in a wind storm.
Msc has free drinks and wifi if you catch the deals. Princess offers free drinks on some Alaska cruises. You could go high end Crystal,Azamara,Regant,Cunard or higher and spend a lot more and get free drinks and excursions and stuff. But for the price of a cruise you still get a whole heck of a lot of stuff included. As far as casino placement there is other decks that can be used to get from one end to the other without ever having to step foot into it. Placing the Casino in mid ship makes more sense its location is more convenient for people to go to mid ship from the front or back of the ship then it is to go from one end all the way to the other end. If you think you paid more than its worth cruising might not be for you. You may want to stick to the all-inclusive resorts or something because all the cruise lines are just about the same in price for service.
If you are not going to cruise on Carnival anymore because of the price that you have to pay, go ahead and try the other Cruise Lines you better start saving your money. Nobody has free drinks other than coffee tea and juice
