Review summary

We had a really great time on our cruise with our one year old son. There were some things we wished would have been available for children his age, such as daytime babysitting, changing tables, and kid friendly healthy foods. We loved all of the staff onboard, they remembered our son’s name the entire trip and always accommodated us with a high chair in the dining hall. Turks and Half Moon Cay were great, all you needed to pay for was the chairs on the beach in Turks and half Moon Cay you can use your carnival room key to pay for drinks right on the beach. They also provided lunch there which was convenient and a huge plus for the entire day on the beautiful beach there. Freeport, you either need to pay for an excursion or a taxi to get to a private beach. We paid for an “excursion” which was a taxi ride to the beach and then we needed to pay to get on the beach, which was an extra $8 per person. I wouldn’t suggest getting any excursions which say drinks are included, ours stated that and the taxi driver gave us $5 bahama currency which didn’t even pay for a water bottle at the beach bar. My suggestion would be to pay for a taxi to a beach and be ready to pay a fee to get on the beach and for drinks. The one perk which we enjoyed on the beach we went to was they had complimentary paddle boarding and kayaking. They also had zip lining and jet skiing available for an extra fee. The beach we went to was called pirates cove. The cruise ship itself was very clean, the staff were always friendly and hard workers, and the director was extremely fun and energetic. We would love to go on another cruise based on our first experience with carnival pride.
