I am not saying all of this to complain, but I want someone (with a family) to read my review and know what they are walking into. We made the most of each situation and actually had a fun cruise. Traveling with young kids is hard, but you can still enjoy it. I just wanted to see more in the areas of cleanliness and ways to divert the smoke.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The dining room was nicely laid out and designed, however when it was full the staff had trouble getting the food to everyone in a timely manner. Also the food was cold several times.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Our family enjoyed the outdoor spaces very much, but the trivia and live music was very limited. There was not a lot of variety for people of all ages.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The stage shows and sing a longs with Dr E were the best part. There was not a variety of shows that were family friendly, and each night it was either comedy, or a musical... not mush variety.
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
I am being generous with 4 stars. I loved the kids space, loved that we could bring them for a good amount of time if they wanted to, and absolutely love the Dr ashes breakfast. The downside was that it wasn’t really a “program”... they just were supervised while playing in a big room.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The staff were great. They were very friendly and helpful, my only complaint is that they don’t ask permission to touch our children’s hands, heads, or hair... it is not ok to be tidying people’s dirty dishes then come and hold my baby’s arms or face.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Having to all through the smoke filled casino is not great when you have a family of three young toddlers. I think in the entire week I saw them cleaning the glass and floors once, and never did any of the staff direct people to use the sanitizer or hand washing stations. We found them by accident. There was water dripping from our hallway roof on the 8th floor, and the balcony rails and roofs need to be sanded and refinished.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Our cabin was nice, we loved the space and the beautiful view. We could tell that our room steward was good, he made sure to vacuum and wipe counters. Only the balcony needed to be cleaned and one of the boards on the ground was lifting which was gross. Also, our neighbour smoked on their balcony round the clock.
Ship tip
If you are ok with smelling smoke in most of the open air parts of the lower levels, then you will have fun.
I really wasn’t too impressed by the entertainment compared to what else is out there but it was a lot of fun. The casino should have been designed better because a full casino of smokers can get out of hand. But I had a blast
I have to agree while on this cruise the smoking was an issue. They had to announce several time to not smoke on the decks/balconies and to smoke in designated areas. People are obvious oblivious how intrusive it is to people who do not smoke and must think the rule doesn't apply to them. In the past we have not had this issue but for some reason this trip was bad. I thought people were not suppose to smoke in the walk way of the casino but they were constantly this week. Sorry you had to deal with it and having your children exposed. We have cruised several times on the Pride and never experienced this issue before. The casino always has smoke but not in the walk ways and not this bad.
Have sailed with my 3 children since my youngest son was 6/7, middle son 11/12, oldest daughter 12/13, they are now 23, 28, 29 and Gold VIP. We LOVED THESE CRUISES, do much for everyone to do. Great activities. I’ve now added my niece & nephew, they’ve been on 3 now. BEST FAMILY VACATION for fun & value.
