Carnival Pride is a lovely ship. She could use a bit of an update...maybe a little food improvement, but all in all.... she makes for a great cruise!!

We had Priority Boarding, so we were in and onboard very fast!

Food and Dining

I honestly think that Carnival could do a bit better on the food. The selection is great, but the quality is not the best. Guy's Burger Joint is about the only reliable food. I feel like they try to "fancy up" the food too much. There's nothing wrong with plain comfort food. Also, i feel like the quality of the ingredients has gone down since our last cruise. I honestly bit into more "mystery pieces" than meat ...lol...
Onboard Activities

Bingo is always fun!! The trivia games had huge crowds, and the top deck golf and water slide were always busy!!

The Playlist Players onboard the Pride, were top notch! Amazing young people with tons of talent.

Efrain, Rommel, and Rin were our waitstaff in Normandie, AMAZING!! We loved them and i actually felt sad when i had to say goodbye!! (P.S. always tip your waitstaff at the end of the cruise). They were so kind and so much fun, singing and dancing for us each evening. Ken, the head maitre'd is the BEST...we truly loved him!! And i CANNOT forget Edwarren in the jewelry store...what a remarkable young person...we wanted to bring him home!!!

Everything was always clean as a whistle! They stay on top of it!

Our suite was perfect in size!! I highly recommend a suite for anyone, they are laid our nicely. The only thing i would change is the inability to open but just one side of the shower. Meaning you have to lean in...and all the way to the other end of the tub to turn on the shower , and you get soaked doing it.
Ship tip
PLEASE prepare for rough seas...if you find yourself a bit seasick, head down to medical and ask for Meclizine... it's $1.00 a pack and there's 2 in a pack. A real life saver.
I'm from Maryland, so, Baltimore is a place i've visited many times. There's a ton of cool things to do if you have to stay over. Just stay in the Inner Harbor area...it's the safest.
Such a beautiful Island!! We didn't venture out onto the island, but we stayed close to port, in the Margaritaville compound... few nice stores to grab up anything from cheap trinket souvenirs, to emeralds and diamonds..so...bring your wallet!
Freeport is a bit run down in areas....so we usually stay right in the ship area to shop and then have lunch at Senor Frogs...then we head back on board. BUT... Port Lucaya Marketplace is supposedly VERY nice to shop at, and is just a 15 minute taxi ride away...the taxis are right there waiting on you at the port!
I know it can't be easy to get all of us off the ship in a timely manner. but they really need to do something about conveying info in a way that everyone understands. There were instructions for us, but...people were confused and milling about unsure of where to be. We finally got tired of waiting and joined a line that had formed and were quickly off the boat. Had we done that sooner we wouldn't have been so confused.
