Carnival Pride

7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Baltimore Roundtrip)

Sail date: July 15, 2018

Ship: Carnival Pride

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: 8237

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Second time on Pride, we will go again. I just wish they would change where it goes. STAY AWAY from cabin 8237, great size, but galley right overhead. We hardly slept every night and had to sleep during the day.

It was just ok, wife's lobster was under done. Second time there, will skip the next time we are on.

Normandie Restaurant

We had my time dining. I think it worked for us because just 2. Not sure it works for bigger parties as well. Food was good, onion soup was better here than David's....

Paid for premium package, what a waste. Carnival needs to do some upgrades here.

The Winners' Club Casino

My wife spent lots of time and money, she likes it there....

Guest Services / Shore Excursions

3 out of 5

Had issues with noise in cabin, 2 out of 3 people we talked to did little to nothing to help. Guest Services could use some training.

Taj Mahal Main Lounge

I enjoy the layout and the shows. I like the way there is tables and couch layout. I don't like individual chairs.

Ship tip

She is an older ship, but we like her. I understand she is going in to drydock next year. She will need it by then.

Nothing that good to do, port is far from everything, must be real cheap for Carnival to go there.

Best tip I can give you is do alot of research!!! Study the layout of the ship you are booking on! If you are someone that is a light sleeper and noise will bother you, make SURE to book a stateroom in between other staterooms! Watch what's around and above AND below your room and you will enjoy your cruise much more. Personally that wouldn't bother me and I'm sure others aren't bothered by noise but for those of you that are... That is the best advice I can give you.

That happened to us also, guest services could not do anything. It was 7 days of no sleep. We tried to fly home.

fmarlowe: I love this ship (as you can tell from the number of cruises I've taken on this ship). PROS: Easy embarkation and debarkation, exceptional staff and service, great food and easy to find your way on the ship. CON: It is an older ship and can use some renovations. I understand renovations are scheduled for February 2019. TIP: Should you encounter any issues (don't believe you will), please bring it to the attention of Guest Services. They will definitely make it right. HAPPY CRUISING!!! 🚢

roman 543: I have done 7 cruises on the Pride and have 3 more booked (Nov 2018, Jan 2019 and Nov 2019 - all 14 Days Journey Cruise). Perhaps you may want to do the 14 Days Journeys Cruise if you have the time.
