Review summary

Had a great time, great staff, but will pick a newer boat with better ports next time

Embarkation

Easy to park, easy to get on board. The line took about an hour and a half but what can you expect when you're checking in so many people. Ship was late unloading previous passengers so they were a little off schedule

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Normally I'm a big fan of the food onboard, but it seemed a little lacking this time. David's was AMAZING and worth every cent, I'd recommend it to anyone sailing. The 24 hour pizza, Guy's Burgers, and Blue Iguana were also really good! The dining room was just okay- I liked the selections offered but the food just seemed a little bland in terms of taste. The Lido deck buffet was the main disappointment. Very few options, fairly tasteless items.

Onboard Activities

Man this is a hard one. I want to start by saying SAFFY was the best cruise director I've seen! So I don't want her or her team to be negatively affected by this review. Any fun we DID have was strictly due to her. However... we felt that there was not a lot offered on board. It seemed like every "event" they had was either a seminar to buy stuff, or just outright sales. Not a lot of actual activity going on other than that. The evenings livened up a bit with Saffy and her crew thankfully.

Entertainment

GREAT! Go to every show!

Children's Programs

Did not bring children

Service and Staff

With the exception of 2 waitresses that weren't very friendly and the woman working at the candy shop, everyone was very pleasant and accommodating!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleaned, definitely. The ship needs a lot of work though. A lot of the rope trim in areas was totally falling off the wall, and other flaws like that. I heard it's going to get an overhaul soon- I hope so!

Cabin / Stateroom

Eduardo was our steward and he was the best. So friendly and willing to help us, and even knew our names by the end of the first night. The room was always well kept and stocked, and the room itself was fine. Loved having the extended balcony! Not sure if this was due to it being an older ship but we heard everything from everywhere near us it seemed. Music from upstairs (not a concern to us), doors slamming all night, talking in rooms

Ship tip

GO TO EVERYTHING SAFFY DOES. She makes the entire experience!

Ports of call

Baltimore, Maryland Did not visit port

Left from there

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

Opted to stay on board because it was chilly

Nassau, Bahamas

So much harassment by the locals, it really made it not worth leaving the boat. We grabbed our kids a few souvenirs and went right back to the ship.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Did not visit port

We didn't want a repeat of Nassau and stayed on

Disembarkation

So smooth and easy to get through customs and to our car.
