Review summary

Overall we did have a great time traveling to one of our favorite places with our dear friends. I would however, not recommend going on Carnival. This was our first Carnival cruise and we are not new to cruising. Compared to the other cruise lines we have traveled, we were extremely disappointed with the quality and service of this ship. This will probably be our first and only trip with Carnival.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth process leaving out of the Baltimore Port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Very disappointed in the quality of service, not attentive at all. Food was mediocre, even in the specialty restaurant. Would expect a lot more for the price you pay.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Did not attend the stage shows, however the comedian Jim Brick was outstanding.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Lack of interest from all. It seems they would do the bare minimum they had to do, never going above and beyond.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Ships design is extremely outdated, wouldn't be so bad if they maintained it. Water leaks in ceiling in Lido Restaurant dripping on you, decor being held up by packing tape, holes in fake statues. Rusted balcony, paint missing in all areas. Floor tiles popping up when you walk on them. For the Carnival Pride, it seems they do not take "pride" in their ship. When the leak issue was brought up, the staff shrugged it off saying it happens all the time and them proceeded to put down absorbent pads on the floors.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cleanliness was okay, room was only maintained once a day, never returned at night. Balcony was extremely small for being on the back of the ship. Glass never cleaned, paint peeling up and rust all over the balcony. I would always go out on the balcony barefoot, not on this one.

Ship tip

Set your expectations low as compared to other cruise lines.

Bermuda is beautiful. Highly recommend visiting and participating in the sunset catamaran sail away. This is our 5th trip to Bermuda and I guarantee it will not be our last.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
A little slow but a very smooth process.

Wow, I'm surprised. I've cruised Carnival and RC and absolutely love Carnival. I was on the Pride two years ago and it was my favorite of all the ships I've been on so far.

But you still have good news ahead of you. You can return to the ships/lines you more compatible with and back to enjoyment.
