Review summary

I had the Bottomless Bubbles package.  Overall rating would have been excellent except that I had to wait at the bar to get a soda.  Lots of kids also had to wait at the bar to get a soda also.  Sometimes the wait was pretty long, a self service soda machine similar to what is in fast food restaurants is needed.

They could do something similar to Disney.....buy a special VIP for a set price and get unlimited refills. It has a chip in it with tour vacation dates so it's only good for the time you are there. We love those cups!! So worth it!!

I always get the bottomless bubbles package. It saves you a lot of leg work. That way I can have soda with dinner instead of water, ice tea, or coffee. The waiters have to run to the nearest bar to get it, and it takes a little time, but it's either that or you're getting up to get the soda yourself. Be sure to drink your money's worth. Depending on how much you drink, you can do your own math on that. All the soda comes out of the can. They load a ton of 24 packs on the ship. For some reason they don't bother with fountain soda machines. Maybe they don't want to store the Co2 on the ship. Maybe the syrup doesn't mix well with the water they purify on board.

Royal Caribbean has one of those. When you get their soda package they give you a special cup that has a sort of bar code on the bottom and when you put it on the machine it reads it so you can get the soda. If you put a cup on it without the code you don't get soda. It also dispenses one cup at a time and then stops. It seemed pretty neat.

Then the line would probably be longer. Now anyone with a container would be getting a drink instead of only BB package people. And, the machine would run out of pop faster and you'd have to wait until someone could switch the bottles, etc. Be careful what you wish for. Enjoy your cruise! 😎
