Review summary

Boarding was a disaster, and unless some improvement is met in that area, we probably would not go out of Baltimore again.  We were given the time of boarding at 1:30 - 2:30 and had to wait in line for one and half hours!  We felt like we were in line at Disney World.  The ship needs a good refurbishing but the staff was great.  The food was good but could have been better (have had better on other cruise lines). We had very rough seas and, therefore, our itinerary was changed but we understand that couldn't have been helped. All in all had a fairly good time.

We didn't have any issues boarding back in Oct last year, but we also had the FTTF

The check in time is not necessarily when you will board the ship it is just the designated time to check in waiting in line to get on the ship is the same anywhere and the most stressful of the whole cruising experience it's no different than at an airport they aren't going to let you just walk right on.

Hint. If it says the ship boards at 1, get there at 11:30. They'll let you on. Buffet is open. Plus you have to consider that day as day #1. Because the last day you eat and they throw you off!!

If you mean you were given a time to be there of 1:30 to 2:30...that means it is your check in time, time to arrive to the port. This isnt your boarding time. Your boarding time isn't guaranteed. You get to board after weddings, diamond and platinum, FTTF, and special groups. Then they start boarding zones after all those people.

Pride usually boards into the atrium by way of a gang way that was damaged some months back. I had heard it did not cause any issues, but I questioned that. Don't judge Carnival or Pride over this experience.
