Review summary

staff on board was nice however I went to my room at one point to overhear a housekeeper complaining about my room. My state boy, Michael saw me & then started talking to me extra extra nice! I believe he was embarrassed. Also the drink package for myself & children I believe are over priced. I did not get my $ worth. I am a single mom & I think if you purchase the "cheers" package, you shouldn't have to pay extra for soda for your kids. I did not like how they took so many beautiful pictures but to get them was a ridiculous price. You couldn't even purchase all pics for one bundled price.

All & all I was not impressed or satisfied with the cruise & will not be going again. I went to a Beaches resort & was treated like an absolute queen. This cruise was not even close to that.

Well, each day I have read, and re-read, everyone's comments. I must say some are not so nice...but that is okay, however, don't you think she has been berated enough? I think that is why she has not answered. I am 65, and feel I know what would cause a firestorm and what would not. We Don' t know anything about her, her age, her kids ages, what help she has at home, did she save for 5 years for a little cut loose time, if her kids are older, then no reason to not drink, but all things in moderation, including her beat down on here. Each of us may have done and said things in the past that we regret, and I bet she does too. Let's cut her some slack...as I think we're you her, you would want. Maybe she needs to clarify some of her remarks but is afraid to because of all that has been said to and about her here....sounds like a lot of bullying to me....Remember...Don' shot the messenger (me)!

Carnival is the best and if someone complains about the price of pictures then u should not be purchasing the cheers package ...lol

state boy? You have to be kidding. Oh wait your name says it all

kjzwilliams    8 years ago

That is such a waste. Most of the time they charge $350-400 for all.

kizWilliams we went in December...no picture bundle I think it was 12$ a picture(5x7) What I did get was a luggage tag after 3? pictures and a cup may after 6 pictures. Did ask as we kept all pictures behind current ones and hoped last day to get a discount...must have been 50 pictures...but no discount

kjzwilliams    8 years ago

I was told they have a bundled picture pack. Do they not have it anymore?

Also going in october we've never had any problems on the pride we were always treated like royalty that why we always give extra to our room steward

kjzwilliams    8 years ago

Someone in another post a while back said pictures could be bought in a bundle? Did they change this? We are sailing 5/29.

I agree that the bottomless bubbles was not worth the price. I am also a single mother who just cruised the pride last month. I did NOT purchase the cheers package because I was with my children but I do think had I been with adults, the cheer package would have been worth it. We loved our cabin steward as well as all the employees on the Ship. Going back again in October! Can't wait!

I too am a single mom...well I adopted 4grandsons...we could not afford a vacation and last year I took 2 youngest (11, 15) on a cruise. Materialmom73 you need to rethink. I did my research and found that cruising was the best way to go....Boys had their clubs, pool, entertainment, made friends, and could eat whatever they wanted whenever. We did one nice dinner and I decided it was not for them...so I went alone. We each took a carton of soda and brought some home...other things to drink....to spend that much for the drink program was more than bringing another person....not a good choice....We did something off the ship at both ports and they are still talking about it 6 months later...can not waite for November taking 3 this time....driving from Missouri to New Orleans (no airfare) 2nights in a hotel (1going 1 coming back). I think when everything is paid for under 2,000$ Don't think I could do any better and I am not around them all the time as I would be on a land vacation. Pictures are high priced but they will let you stand behind them and get great pictures of the kids. I bought the ones with all of us and once home made copies for the kids to put in their album with other pictures. The boys took a few pictures of me and I did not buy any of just me. Housekeeping...if your kids are slobs you should clean up a bit...most people clean their house before the maid service. I cleaned a few houses when my adult kids were young and they always picked up their dirty underwear and garbage. I felt that I was treated like a queen...Did not have to clean, cook, do laundry, people brought me my food, opened the door for me, watched my kids, and talked to adults without a kid wanting something from me....and best of all...we spent great time together and apart. Hope you give it another try... .

State boy? Wtf! The CABIN STEWARDS work harder than you'll ever know. I would be more concerned about spending money on your kids than on your alcohol. Do you know how many cabins these men and women see and clean? Yours had to be beyond disgusting for him to complain about it. Perhaps stick to staycations, sit home and drink and be messy..... CRUISING IS AWESOME! !!!

john306    8 years ago

I agree Sara

State boy? Really! Some people are better left on land!

Tks Sarah I knew it was something like that

MrsOneal    8 years ago

It's clearly on the website that sodas are extra. You should've purchased Bottomless bubbles for your son or brought on a 12 pack. You clearly didn't do your research. Maybe cruising isn't for you. Stick to the beaches resort. 😉

MrsOneal    8 years ago

john306, soda is included with the Cheers package but for the person with it. Not for their child.

john306    8 years ago

Spending money the way u want is good and all but shouldn't u of worried about your kids first before drinking

Jkodko    8 years ago

State boy? I think maybe you didn't research enough. It's your right to spend your money on what you want but all of the prices and what's included are clearly listed on the website.

dkane882    8 years ago

Who was watching the kids while you were enjoying the "cheers.".

tootall341    8 years ago

TIL: Things cost money

john306    8 years ago

I thought u got pop with the cheers package

Katievp    8 years ago

If money is that tight why spend so much on alcohol for yourself?

lidomiddeck    8 years ago

Room must have been awful messy. If your a single mom and you got the cheers program, who is responsible for the kids when you are intoxicated?
