Review summary

Carnival has been under scrutiny over recent years and I believe it is affecting what and how they provide.   I had many issues with this trip!  There food was awful, and very skimpy at dinner!  I pretty much lived in pizza for the entire week.  The bathroom had a hidious smell the entire time which no one could explain on top of not flushing properly or flushing by itself at times.  My daughter caught a virus while on board, the 5th day into the cruise which was circulating around the ship.  She had severe vommiting and a high fever for 3 days and as if that weren't enough one of the engines was not working properly and the whole one side of the boat shook violently and was so loud you couldn't stand it resulting in and extra day at sea!  We pre paid for spa treatments prior to the trip and they credited the pre paid amount back and charged us $80 more on our sails and sign bill which I'm still trying to get settled!!!  I have sailed with Carnival in the past and it was great, definitely gone down hill!  I will prob never sail with them again!

you forgot to mention you got half off the cruise and half off the next booking because of the propulsion issues!!!

The other review that was on your same cruise didn't have any of your problems. They didn't give it a high rating but everybody the week before your cruise gave high rating. Your daughter could have been contaminated before the cruise as many things have a 7 day incubation period. All cruise lines have cut back, they must not like success.

Was on the Pride end of February / beginning of March. Have sailed on her 3 other times. Do agree that the food is not what it used to be. Ate in the steakhouse one night and it was a fabulous meal. They now want you to pay for things that used to be included. And there doesn't seem to be as many bar servers walking around on pool deck. Lots of them in the casino.

My husband and I were on the pride in September of 2014. Although we made our own good time, the food stunk, the drinks stunk & the service in certain areas was seriously lacking. The ship itself was ok

We have been on the Pride 3 times and will be back on the 15th of May. We had amazing food and service back in November. I am excited for our next cruise.

My wife and I were on the 14 day journey cruise just before this cruise and we had no issues what so ever. The one thing that did bother me was the amount of people not sanitizing there hands before any meals, if we walked by one, we sanitized very often.

I have been on the pride 3 times and the worst experience was the ship leaving late due to arriving late due to the weather. Other than that I love that ship especially since I can be to the port in an hour and no flight.

I can't imagine it won't be fixed. Wasn't this the ship that was late getting back to port because of that problem?

We are the 10th of July as well. Did this same itinerary last june. As long as the problems are repaired it will be a great cruise.

I am going on July 10th, I think I read somewhere the propulsion problem was already fixed let's hope it stays that way!

My husband got food poisoning from a dinner buffet, we still cruise. It can happen anywhere. I always have hand sanitizer on me and I don't touch any rails. I agree some dishes are not good, but I always can find something that I like.

In july we are on the pride for the 4th time. Our favorite ship. We have been on 6 others. Hope the propulsion issues can be fixed before july. The first 3 cruises the pride was great. Last time was last October and seemed to be no issue then. We have always liked the food, but have noticed a decrease in quality and selection in dining room and buffet for the last couple years. Never go hungry but not what it was a few years back.

Too bad about your trip, but I was on the Pride last fall and we had a wonderful trip. The dining room was excellent... Wait staff were on top of everything and the food was very good, you can ask for double portions. We had assigned dining so you have wait staff every evening. By day 3 they knew what we liked and had it for us before asking. Guy's Burgers and the Deli were my daytime favorites. Not sure what happened, but I am sure it is probably the exception... Unfortunately it was yours.
