Review summary
The food was hit and miss. Some food so-so. Some food excellent. Most of the desserts were tasteles except for the chocolate melt away cake and the apple pie. We felt like we were fleeced of money when it came to the bar and drinks no matter if alcoholic or nonalcoholic drinks. It cost $42 for a nonalcoholic beverage pass for the week. They failed to tell us for just $5 you could get unlimited soda refills in a souvenir cup. All over 18 passengers in a cabin had to purchase the unlimited drink pass which costs about $350 per passenger. Not just one passenger in a cabin could purchase. Passengers found out later that the unlimited pass WAS limited to 15 drinks in a 24 hr period. Carnival is not forthcoming and is downright sneaky in terms of their bar charging and practices. The decor of the ship in areas reminded me of the hotel in The Shining. The large naked lady murals started to creep me out after 7 days. Now some positives. The service was excellent. Some of the food was excellent. The ship and our room were clean. The entertainment was good to excellent.Ship experiences

Ship tip
Do not run and buy unlimited drinks unless you absolutely want to. It's best to wait and get all the details first. Don't waste your money if you don't drink much.
