Great Cruise by RichardM10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Very impressed with the ship overall. Thought that there was an excessive amount of vibration from the props at times.

Our first cruise- enjoyed it by RachelC3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Mexico

The ship was clean, well-maintained, and overall very grand-looking. The food and service were good as well, and the rooms were a little small but cozy and well-supplied.

3rd best of my three cruise experience by ByunghwanS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Mexico

This was the worst of my three luding another Carnival Cruise. The only good thing I found was the parking system, which stood out as the best among all the large-size parking system (e.g. airports, ports, etc.) This does not mean that every single aspect of the cruise was bad. In fact, most things were at least mediocre, if not great. -- inconvenience (long line) The cruise would not have been necessarily a bad experience unless the ship had more effective mechanism for allocating resources. For example, I had to wait for about 15 mins to get an egg fry, EVERY MORNING. I'm not talking about the check-in or tendering processes, the convenience by which is understandable and somewhat unavoidable. I'm talking about the inconvenience that I, and most of the passengers I believe, had to deal with everywhere. Things like this could have been easily prevented/corrected if Carnival had been at least marginally concerned about the inconvenience people had to go through. -- poor shore-excursion There was not very much to do in Santa Catalina, which is understandable given the weather. Programs for Mexico though did not seem to take full advantage of the tourism resources at all. Winery tour seemed the least-evil.

A Good Introduction to a cruise by JenniferB7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Mexico

The staff was wonderful! Always helpful no matter what department. Do be prepared for fairly expensive drinks (about $9 each). The boat has a lot of open spaces and quiet areas to spread out. Get up early, at least one morning, and enjoy the sunrise at sea, fantastic. Unfortunately for dinner we were seated with a 5 year old who repeatedly crawled up on to the table and grabbed our dinner and glassware. I tried to be polite telling the child "no" and the parents were so passive with him it made your skin crawl, only his 12 year old brother redirected him. We had a great waiter but decided to talk to the maiter D'. No explanation needed as he had seen the child in action and reseated us immediately. The tour to La Bufadora was wonderful. Yes the vendors are trying to "sell" you along the walk but just keep saying, "no thank you/no gracias" and keep a straight path. The view is lovely. Our tour hostess was fantastic and pointed out things all along the drive. The bus was comfortable and clean, I felt we got our money's worth. We also made a quick stop at the original casino (it's in town) from the 1930's that supposedly invented the margarita. If you appreciate old architecture this was absolutely beautiful and you will be delighted with what you see. The two of us walked the town center after our tour in about an hour. We always felt safe. There are a few shops back at the ship's dock, and surprisingly the prices overall were lower than what we found in town (i.e. a $7.50 item was $7 at the dock). And conveniently, all the stores throughout the day dealt with us with the US dollar. Overall, in the end, I'm not a cruiser type, but I have to say that Carnival did a wonderful job and I could recommend their cruises hand down.

A Fantastic Long Weekend Get Away! by AmyJ3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Mexico

The ship had activities for everyone, the staff was very up-beat and polite, the shows were well done, and the rooms were spacious. We opted for the Chef's table experience on the last night, and I definitely recommend that. We got a personalized tour of the 12,000 sq.ft. kitchen, and had a seven course gourmet meal!

A fantastic cruise ! We had a good time. by CynthiaA2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Mexico

It was great, The staff are all hard working. The food was excellent . The rooms were clean and overall the ship was clean. It's just too bad that fitness classes was not included. There was an extra charge for this. At least their is a jogging area for free which I appreciate. Their is enough entertainment on board to keep us occupied. I would love to cruise with this cruise line again.

Humbug. Go to Vegas instead! by JamieF3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Mexico

The whole point of cruising and putting up with the small rooms is the food and entertainment. Both sucked. Actually, the desserts were amazing and We enjoyed the disco and danced all night. I would not waste your time on this cruise to Ensenada....Go to Vegas! Better food, better entertainment and save lots of money.

Breaking in new cruisers by EdL1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Mexico

Ship shows it's years of service, half of the elevators on our side of the ship were not working. I was very disappointed that you did not offer a seperate dinning resturant and we had to either eat casul or in the dinning room where we always had to share a table with strangers. We have been on many cruise lines but this was the first for our friends and I thought Carnival would be a good one to break in on. They were very disappointed on the level of service, the food in the dinning room and the long lines to board.
