Review summary

The ship itself was just decent...you can tell that it is an older ship.  The staterooms are very small and the color was atrocious.  We had to wait to get in our room when we first boarded due to plumbing issues and the water in the bathroom sink still smelled like sewage.  The food was average...we ended up with food poisoning from it.  There really isn't much to do in Costa Maya.  Not sure why this is a destination....Carnival should be ashamed for taking money to go there...We really just made our own fun on this trip!  I can say that I did get some beautiful pics in Cozumel.

Eugene, our steward, was awesome! The room had plumbing issues and it looked like mold around the window.

Ship tip

The ship is small and so is the pool. If there are a lot of small children on the cruise, don't expect to get in the pool

You can just see this coming our way "Brits visiting Mallorca may be banned from hotels, particularly all-inclusives, because of the multi-million pound cost of false food poisoning claims. Hoteliers say they are totally fed up with having to pay out as much as £5,000 a time for bogus cases and feel drastic action may be the only way forward"
