Review summary

I enjoyed many things, but my favorite was comedy night.  The two comedians were so funny!  It is definitely how my husband and I liked to end our night!  I also enjoyed karaoke night.  The one guy that sang at night was REALLY good.  I liked buying the cheers package and not having to worry about paying for alcoholic beverages, sodas, and specialty coffees.  I was impressed that the staff is so good with remembering our names.  I really enjoyed the serenity deck (adults only).  I also enjoyed the night of dancing on the deck!

The most disappointing part was all of the different fees that are charged at the end of your trip.  I would rather those fees be included with the price of the cruise that is payed up front.  Most vacationers allot or save a certain amount of money for their trip.  I was not aware that I would have to pay an activity fee.  The activities that I participated in are advertised as free (or included).  Why can that not be included up front since they charge you no matter if you participate in an activity or not?  Why can't they include all of the STANDARD gratuities with the cruise price that is paid up front.  I was not expecting to pay $200 extra at the end of the trip.  I would have rather budgeted that amount when I signed up.  That was my major complaint.

You have the option to choose to pay gratuities when you book your cruise. We always choose it. We were not charged anything extra at the end of ours. I would figure out what you did wrong for next time.

I don't know for sure but it sounds like video games, internet charges and/or bingo.

What activity charges are you referring to that get charged if you don't participate? One would have to try really hard to not hear or see all the announcements about tips and charges for excursions. Any restaurants or activities that cost would require you to give your ship charge card so there really cannot be any "surprise" costs on a cruise.

All chargeable activities are marked on the daily program guide

You can always add them on when booking. That is what we do for our cruises..
