Review summary

This was our first time cruising and if I had known that the Paradise was a party ship then I would not have taken my family on here. The college students were obnoxious when they got drunk and it was too bad. Not good for a family vacation. We enjoyed getting off the ship to Catalina island and Ensenada and enjoyed the scenery of those places. We also enjoyed meeting the workers on the ship, especially our servers. Talk about hard workers!! But I think that we probably will never cruise with Carnival again.

We took the bus tour around Avalon and that was fun, and our bus tour guide was very knowledgeable about Avalon. The glass bottom boat tour was a disappointment so i would not recommend that. The shops were fun to visit.

The tour to the blow hole was excellent and again, our tour guide was wonderful. The scenery is beautiful as you get close to the blow hole. The open market was a new experience for us with the people trying to sell your wares to you.

Pros: Meeting the workers and the ports of call

Cons: The party animals that partied and vomited all night long. it was disgusting.

Recommends Carnival Paradise? No.
