The Cruise itself was fantastic! by jbbryan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our first cruise was 14 years ago. We had a outside cabin but not a stateroom with balcony, This was a huge upgrade for us. The additional room to stretch out and to do what we wanted was great. I might suggest that you invest in better TV programming for the sea days. And PLEASE......PLEASE find something other than CNN....ANYTHING, news in Chinese would have been better.

Renovate this ship please! by hnhoward7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The most disappointing part was the state of our cabin! We paid over $500/night for what I would expect to see at a Super 8 or La Quinta Inn. The room and bathroom especially were horribly old and in major need of renovation. It felt dirty and so tiny our 10yr old nearly bumped her head on ceiling of shower. Our room steward made the room as clean as he could but it's really the age that makes it feel dirty. There's layers of caulk, paint, patching in bathroom that are just dying to be ripped out. Please get with it and stop ripping passengers off with false photos of rooms! If I saw that room in pics, I never would've paid for it! I would've made sure to book another ship. My grandparents and parents also booked on the same ship and the same experience. None of us will ever use this ship again.

Not satisfied with the ship and the cruise was detoured from destination we wanted to go...the only reason we chose this ship and cruise by registers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our room was very roomy. Although it appeared to be clean when we walked in it was not clean. There was hair in the bathtub. A hairband on the floor in the bathroom. Candy on the floor near the balcony door and fingernail clippers on the floor at the counter in front of the bed. The bathroom smelled like the hallway, which I'm sure was the sewer. We had plenty of room in the cabin. The shower broke the 2nd day we were there and we tried to fix it ourselves but had to call to have them to fix it on the 3rd day.
