Great ports, service, foods, and weather! Horrible ship, rooms and dietary options. Avoid the paradise and maybe Carnival altogether! For over $500/night, it's insane this was our room and ship! I felt robbed/scammed by photos of what we expected to be our room and what was actually our room.
Embarkation

We had priority boarding and arrived early @11am but it still took until 1:30 to get on board.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food and drink were plentiful. More than one cafe for coffee would have been nice. The main issue I had was there was very little to choose from that was dairy and soy free. I breastfeed and my baby is allergic to milk protein and soy. They didn't ever have an alternative milk in the cafe where I paid for coffee.
Onboard Activities

Almost everything seemed very old and in need of renovation. The pools were so gross we would never let our kids in them. It was sad because we were looking forward to using the slide and hot tubs but they were all full of rust and showed their age all over. The fitness center and spa were nice. The salon needs an update. The mini golf and jogging track was the nicest area, great views and clean/newer.

Our 10yr old loved it!
Service and Staff

Excellent service but evening dinner took forever. I feel like they're told to take their time serving you though.
Ship Quality

It had a horrible 70/80s casino vibe. It needs a major update. Clean yes but so dated!
Cabin / Stateroom

The most disappointing part was the state of our cabin! We paid over $500/night for what I would expect to see at a Super 8 or La Quinta Inn. The room and bathroom especially were horribly old and in major need of renovation. It felt dirty and so tiny our 10yr old nearly bumped her head on ceiling of shower. Our room steward made the room as clean as he could but it's really the age that makes it feel dirty. There's layers of caulk, paint, patching in bathroom that are just dying to be ripped out. Please get with it and stop ripping passengers off with false photos of rooms! If I saw that room in pics, I never would've paid for it! I would've made sure to book another ship. My grandparents and parents also booked on the same ship and the same experience. None of us will ever use this ship again.
Why on earth did you pay 500$ to cruise on the oldest ship in the fleet!!! I paid 700$ for an 8 day on the Vista. There are plenty of ships right in the middle for 500$ though. I’ve been on the Paradise once and it was 179$
I've had such terrible experiences with Carnival lately. We've switched to Norwegian. Paradise is our home ship in our home port, now we drive 5 hours to Miami instead. Well worth it.
That's too bad. We booked a grand suite on Carnival Triumph and it was the best experience ever. The room and staff was wonderful and treated us like royalty.
