Great cruise all around! As avid Caribbean cruisers we were definitely pleasantly surprised!

Review summary

Great cruise overall. Lots to do and wonderful staff onboard. Food choices and quality of food has diminished greatly over last 3-4 years on Carnival overall and this ship was no exception. Limited choices, unless you’re willing to pay up charges, seems to be the way of most cruise lines wrt food choices these days.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Marketplace buffet has downsized tremendously in last few years with limited choices on salad, entree and desert offerings. Dining room food was served cold several nights. Thumbs way up to Specialty Steak House Fahrenheit 555!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Activities were fun, plenty and something for all ages. Cool and windy weather dampened some activities.

Entertainment

Did not attend any shows

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service as always was awesome. Our room steward Rudi was one of the best we’ve ever had!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
A little difficult to initially figure out elevators due to lack of instruction provided. Overall nice ship layout.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Bed was not comfortable (too hard) but a mattress pad was delivered immediately upon request. Very little room between bed and exterior (balcony) wall.

Ship tip

Get ready for some fun!

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
Port was nice and vendors were pleasant. No excursions

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
Port had a lot to offer in way of shopping and some dining. Could use some more food vendors. City was clean

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico Did not visit port

Been there before

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Utilized debarkation assistance. Was direct to wrong gathering location on app. Too few wheelchairs/stewards and whole process was fraught with confusion on ships part.

I agree that the Panorama buffet is pretty limited but if you consider the multiple other free venues around the ship, there are way more options than in the past.
