Comfortable, clean and loved the pillows!

Ship tip

Be prepared to pay gratuity per person instead of per room. Sucks, that we’re a married couple and we had to pay individually.

jallaway, I’ve always thought the same way but recently read a different insight from a luxury cruiser. I can’t remember the lines but he sails on two different luxury lines. One does not allow tips at all, the other says they are not encouraged but allows them so some tipping occurs. He noted that the service on the ship where the crew only hopes for an occasional tip, is much better than the ship where the crew is paid a high salary but no chance of tips. So if we would pay the same for auto tips or for higher cruise fare, we might as well get better service along the way.

Appreciate your feedback. As others have mentioned, it’s always been per person. If you looked at your billing information before you sailed, it’s listed there as an option to prepay (and per person). Sorry you missed this information. Glad you still managed to enjoy your cruise.

Yes gratuities are per person. I’m guessing you are new to cruising? Glad you had a great time though!

Yup, that must be the first major annoyance for somebody who's never been on a cruise. You see an advertised rate and they don't tell you you are expected to pay hundreds of dollars more because the cruise lines are too cheap to pay a living wage (and I don't care what they say, if they all stopped that nonsense, we'd only be paying gratuities for exemplary service)

Must be a new cruiser.

It has always been per person on the tips. Or at least since I started cruising back in 2014. I went on the same cruise starting on September 2. We had to miss a port Also. We missed Cabo due to high waves. I feel your pain.
