GOOD: excellent selection of food, great staff and comfortable bed.
BAD: pricey drinks, Veteran Meeting Event dismissal, lack of variety PLAYLIST productions..mix in a Variety Show between all musicals. Repetitive.
UGLY: lost port call (Mazatlan), 4-days at sea on 7-day cruise, bud bed cabin for couple.
Embarkation

way to much waiting around. Why not allow folks on board 1st come 1st serve
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
standard over priced drinks but food included is top notch
Onboard Activities

plenty things to do for everyone. One "Veteran Meet&Greet" was wash-no one showed to facilitate this event. Ship did have larger Veteran Recognition event in the Liquid Theatre that was excellent. Cruise Director, Dion, did a phenomenal job. I hope Carnival is paying that man well because HE IS the life of the that boat.
Entertainment

Variety Show mix in with current musical show would be ideal
Children's Programs

plenty for kids to do. This ship wasn't as full with kids (school?) one I been on before
Service and Staff

4-days at sea is bit much. Lost a port call (Mazatlan) due to aftermath of storm. Dion, the Cruise Director is the life of Panorama. Pay that man!

terrible. we were couple trying sleep on bunk bed was useless. Needed to pull the mattress off bunk and sleep on the ground 1st night. They did swap us out for full bed the next day.
Ship tip
if u r fitness guru, hit it up in morning or late at night.
less tourist trap but ridiculously hot & humid. Mexican Fiesta tour was not the one i expected. I been on another tour that took u up in the mountains on 4x4 truck/flatbed seats, best horse show, buffet, free drinks etc. Much more authentic than one i went on here.
Sounds like you didn't do a lot of (or any) research regarding your cabin type, and either just selected an "Upper/Lower" room because it was cheapest, or took a guaranteed interior without realizing you risk getting placed in an "Upper/Lower" cabin with bunk beds. Next time, plan better.
Also, were you not aware that the west coast was recently hit by a Cat 3 hurricane? And that's the reason you had to skip Mazatlan? Not Carnival's fault in the slightest.
Embarkation can be stressful.
They must first clear the ship from the last sailing which can be be delayed for various reasons.
The reasons they have arrival appointments is to limit the number of people coming at certain times. Without doings so the lines would be longer. Your boarding group is assigned based on when your arrival appointment is. Many chose later appointments to reduce the line wait times. Later times are sometimes better because the ship has already start boarding. Some have priority boarding which vastly reduces the wait times.
Sorry you had a rough time. Good luck on your future journeys.
