Review summary

My 1st cruise on Carnival (6th total). Ship was easy to navigate. Doesn't take to long to get where you're going. Food in restaurants was excellent. Buffet, not so much. If I had any complaint about this ship it would be no adult only cold pool. Hot tub in Serenity was nice but always full and who wants to be in a hot tub when its 93 degrees and 80+ % humidity?? Staff was excellent and only 1 time did we come across a staff member we thought was somewhat rude.

Food and Dining

Buffet was small and food was cold. Not many choices. However, the main restaurant was very good! Tappenyaki was worth the extra money as well.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I understand this is a smaller ship but I've been on other ships with more variety of shows. Shows were good though. Flying Scotsman was awesome!

Service and Staff

Compared to RC, drinks were always available and staff was very attentive.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Balcony is a bit small to spend any length of time. But otherwise, the cabin was great.

Ship tip

Thermal spa was not worth the price. Too many groups of people are being brought through on tours while you're trying to enjoy some quiet time. Not sure if they were monitoring people who didn't pay for the package.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Easy to walk around. Water taxi to the Arch was inexpensive on shore

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Is it always that humid? Didn't do much here because it was so hot.

Mazatlan, Mexico

Salsa and Salsa excursion was awesome and well recommended.

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Loved your review, thanks. If you want a quiet pool experience get a Havana cabin, it’s definitely worth it

Agree with the buffet, one of the poorer ones.

Mexico is pretty hot in the summer. Glad you had a good cruise. The Panorama buffet is probably smaller than other ships of the same size on other lines because there are so many other free food options that are really good. Many Carnival guests don’t eat much in the buffet.
