Review summary

Overall, we both enjoyed our cruise a lot! It was great to enjoy the sun and feel like we were free from the pandemic. Until, we got the stomach flu on day 5 and when we got home we both discovered that we had Covid even though we are fully vaccinated. So now we are self quarantining and watching TV for the next week. A word to the wise; wear a mask when you are not in your room. It is so tempting to not wear one but so not worth it!

Embarkation

2 out of 5
We had the misfortune of a delayed embarkation. The ship was late coming back in to port and even though we arrived at the time requested it seemed like everyone had already boarded. We missed our reservation and one of the specialty restraunts which they were kind enough to move to a different date.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent food choices. Ship's main dining rooms and Specialty restaurants are far superior dining experiences.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did bingo. There were activities going all the time and the activities staff were first rate! Enthusiastic and charming activities staff.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Acceptable just average performers.

Children's Programs

No Children. We heard and saw a lot of them in the elevators and restraunts.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, John, was very friendly and helpful. From the first day he made sure that we had ice in our room every day! All the staff were very nice !

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The layout of this ship is awkward. People tended to be on the 5th and 10th floors all the time because they were the ones that went fore to aft.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was very comfortable and nice. We spent a lot of time here.

Ship tip

Be prepared to walk a lot to get to food and entertainment. We were in the Aft and it seemed like we were forever looking for the correct elevator and floor.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

We live here!

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the Canopy Ranch and had fun riding the RZR buggies.

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
We love the tour of the city with Sebastian on the motorized bicycles.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

2 out of 5
The disembarkation was slow and we missed our whale watching tour. Overall, it was very disappointing and not as fun as Puerto Vallarta and Matzatlan.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Chaotic! People were disembarking randomly and were ignoring Marty the cruise director's instructions.

I agree, wear a mask. It is an easy way to prevent any illness, not just Covid-19. We wear masks everywhere on the ship and have been blessed. With ships getting back to maximum capacity, mask is a great idea.
