Review summary

Was surprised about the food being served at the buffet areas. What a vast improvement form our previous Carnival cruises. Liked the energy, the vibes throughout the ship. Would sail again with this ship. I just wished that the venues for the over 18 lounges were bigger to accommodate more people.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food has improved over time since we’ve started cruising over decades ago. Main dining area was elegant ( we’re seated on a big round table with 12 people in our party). Buffet areas were a bit confusing ( were spread out and had to figure what is served in what area). Didn’t try specialty restaurants.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Liked the Skyride. Used the fitness center a lot (lots of equipments). Liked the music experiences done throughout the cruise.

Entertainment

Appreciated some stage shows. Really liked the Punchline Comedy shows especially the over 18 shows with Jason and Jersey especially.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
They went way beyond of what was expected from them. Shout out to our wait staff Dennis, Milos and Irwan (our round table was #500). Our cabin wait staff Bubbles was very accommodating. Especially shout out to all the pizza maker guys who did a fantastic job of doling out the pizzas everyday ( saw the hard and at times thankless job they do with smiles).

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
They staff kept the areas clean at all times. Still got confused at times on where to go even after we’ve been there for awhile. It’s just my orientation is a bit turned due to the vastness of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The size and cleanliness was up to par. The only thing I didn’t like was that every night we would hear like people moving furniture.

Ship tip

Go around the ship after getting settled in your room to figure out what is the best way to find your way around the enormous ship. Take things slow and not try to hurry up to do as many things possible

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Did a private van tour. Was nice that we’re able to walk around the vicinity near the port and do some shopping.

Mazatlan, Mexico

I think the Hop on Hop off bus was a let down and not worth it. The place itself was beautiful but not walkable on your own after leaving the port.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Over rated.

Disembarkation

I wished that they would let us know over the PA system what muster station would go down first because the elevators had too many people and waited for awhile to go either on the 5th or the 10th floors. The moment you get to the floor you wanted to reach, you’re being told right away to go to the another floor to disembark. Too chaotic with people trying to rush to disembark.
