This was smooth sailing for us. We did Verifly which seemed to make things go quickly when checking our credentials. After that we had a few more lines and then because we arrived early we sat and waited until they started calling for boarding groups. Ours came pretty quickly and it was a quick and brisk walk up to the gangway and on board we went!

Food and Dining

We tried the main dining room the first night and it was okay. Gone was the basket of bread and choice of sides to go with the entree. I had the chicken parm and was thin, dry, and instead of being served with pasta it was served with over cooked mixed veggies. I had the chocolate melting cake and it was undercooked.
The buffet's selections were hit or miss.
Guy's Burgers was always great and so was The Seafood Shack and the Blue Iguana. Also, pizza was a good option from time to time-frame if the line wasn't too long.
Onboard Activities

We did several trivia games and checked out some Karaoke. All were very entertaining and we thoroughly enjoyed each activity. There were other options we considered but decided to either hit the pool, eat, or check out the other areas of the ship.
Entertainment

We enjoyed the entertainment. We went to 5 comedy shows and 2 musical performances and the Deal or No Deal Game Show. We enjoyed them all. Just make sure to get to the comedy shows at least 15 minutes early because they fill up fast.

Everyone was always so friendly and helpful and full of smiles.
Ship Quality

Cleaning was a constant everywhere all day long! Only during super busy times did we have to search for a clean table on the Lido deck, but that is to be expected.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony cabin not far from the elevator and were quite pleased with it. Enough space for us and for our belongings. Service was done daily and we loved the towel animals!
Ship tip
Make use of the Carnival Hub app. It tells you everything you need to know about where to eat at certain times of the day, what activities are going on that day, and let's you plan activities you want to attend while on the ship. It also keeps you updated on the ship time.
We liked that we had a longer time at this port.
We did the swim with dolphins excursion through Shore Excursions Group. It was good but they should have kept the groups smaller when getting in the water with the dolphins. A lot of time standing in the water against a wall and waiting while others got pictures and rode the dolphins. This would have gone quicker and less time just standing if they had smaller groups to move through.
Love the port! It is amazing and has so much to offer. Unfortunately, it was our shortest port and the last tender boat headed back to the ship at 1:30 and ship left the port by 2:30 so not a lot of time to do much.
We did the beach resort day pass through Carnival and it was wonderful! The food and drinks were all included and the pools and beach were not too crowded. Lots of vendors on the beach coming up to you, but that is expected in Mexico.
Needs to be more organized and monitored more closely. Quite a few people were going before their group was called, but no crew calling people out on it.
We did not check our bags. We decided to carry our own bags off the ship. Not sure if that would have been smoother.
I agree with the buffet food! There were very little options each meal, so little disappointed in that too! 😫 Would love to see an improvement in food! Other than that, loved the ship and our cruise.
