Review summary

After not being able to cruise for several years, we were greatly looking forward to getting back on board. The ship was outstanding and the ports would have been more appealing if my wife had been feeling better. We would highly recommend this cruise to anyone who would like to visit the Mexican Riviera.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very smooth and efficient

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Fahrenheit 555 was exceptional and Ji Ji was also very good. Would highly recommend both of them.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The hot stone massage was amazing. We also really enjoyed the adults only area on the ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were very good but not of the caliber we have seen on other cruise lines.

Children's Programs

We are retired and did not have any kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was very good and our room steward was excellent.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was extremely clean and the staff was always cleaning up the areas. It was a gorgeous ship and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was extremely nice and really enjoyed the bed being next to the balcony so you could lay down and look out at the view. It was also very nice since it was only a short walk to the spa area.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California Did not visit port

Flew in the night before, stayed at a hotel nearby and then took an Uber to the terminal.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
We took a Taxi to the Malecon and walked around for awhile before returning to the ship.

Mazatlan, Mexico Did not visit port

We had an excursion planned but my wife wasn't feeling well so we stayed on the ship.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion at this port. We took the tender to the dock and walked around for awhile. In all fairness, my wife was still feeling a little ill so we did not enjoy it as well as we could have.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
One of the smoothest disembarkation experiences we have ever had.

My sailing will be on September 24th this year. This will be my 3rd Mexican Riviera cruise and my 2nd Carnival cruise and the 1st on the Carnival Panorama. I'm doing the Havana experience and I am planning to stay on board on ports days! Been there done that! I can't wait to meet the staff and fello cruisers!! Cheers!!!

Looking forward to boarding her Saturday June 4th. I understand that a few of the restaurants are closed due to short staffing. I have done the Chef's Table on pass cruises and the Atalian Restaurant about 10 times. I will be okay and still enjoy all that she has to offer . She is a stunningly beautiful ship.

Nicely written review, and a World Travel Holdings post at that.
