Review summary

the cruise was relaxing. A little to loud on parts of the ship but we chose Carnival because of the kids activities. My 7 year old grandson had a great time but the literature was not clear that our 1 year old grandson would not be allowed to leave the ship. All of the activities for 2 and under were cancelled because of staff limitations so there was nothing for him to do. I know COVID is a issue but that could have been made clearer in the literature that all exempt restrictions would apply to 2 and under because they can not get vaccinated. There was no clear place to get instructions and details. We must have received 10 different instructions and when we called Customer Service to clarify it took 2 hours to get through to a person and then they did not have any information and just referred us back to the confusing policy information.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Verifly did not work so we had to go through the entire process at the embarkation. Everything went smoothly but it was time consuming.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Service was very slow in main dining room. One night dinner took over 2 hours and we left before desert. Quality of food varied by night. First two nights were not so good, the remainder of the trip had good food.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not enough activities for children under 2 years old. My grandson was not allowed off the ship and there was not much for him to do. That could have been explained better in the information and calling customer service was useless.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Loved the piano bar.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
My grandson loved the kid's club for 7 year olds

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
They were always polite, responsive and helpful.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
It was a little windy on the Lido deck. There could be more wind breaks

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
the bed was uncomfortable but the cabin was great and clean

Ship tip

Do not travel with children under 2 years old!
