Review summary

Last Carnival cruise ever. Don’t get me wrong I love the staff and most ships. It’s the MDR food quality and the general demographics of cruisers that flock to Carnival. We have had enough.

Embarkation

We had a 1:30 pm embarkation time and showed up just a couple minutes early. We finally made it on the ship closer to 4pm. No body could follow directions laid out in their emails nor did they listen to the staff. People would argue with staff and become belligerent.

By far the worst food we have had on a carnival cruise. We had to stick to specialty dining for decent food. We used to love Carnival breakfast. This was sub par. Always cold and plain horrible.

Wow I’m sorry you had such a terrible cruise. We did the Panorama in October and loved it so much we came back in November. The food in the Dinning room was amazing (not so much in the buffet) and the sea day brunch was to die for. Sounds like it started out bad for you and maybe you let that ruin your trip. Too bad, it’s a beautiful ship!!!

We we're a group of four on the same cruise. One first timer, one gold, and two platinum cruisers. All four of us had an amazing experience. Maybe cruising is not for you anymore. We loved to MDR and the demographics. So happy to see so mamy different groups of people joining in on this experience.

we did panorama in october and thighs it was great. we just got off HAL koningsdam and mdr food was awful. i actually posted a few days ago that carnival was better. maybe it’s cuts across the board. there are no lobster on 7 day cruise anymore and the filet mignonette was very tuff. on 25 day cruise at $11000 we got lobster tail once in mdr. pathetic. we ate at buffet a few nights because mdr menu was so bad. did i mention pathetic. we own carnival stock and often stay with their brands because of bonus but we were on 7 day rccl in december and had lobster and good food. hal service was impeccable but food was golden corral at times

Exactly OPPOSITE experience this past January…don’t fault the cruise line for one bad cruise group.

Thanks for the review. Looks like you may have cruised over the Presidents’ Day holiday weekend. It’s always best to stay away from holiday weekends, spring break , etc. for a better experience.

My October trip did not agree with yours. The staff was great and easy to find, MDR was better than other Carnival trips. Surprised you boarded so late, most people were on by two (early check in). Looking forward to boarding again on 19 March.

We were on the week prior and the only element I can agree on is the piano bar being great! The food in MDR was best we’ve had on any cruise, although we also enjoyed the specialty restaurants. Atrium bar team was especially good, and we loved the Havana experience. Embarkation and debarkation were smooth and efficient. Odd to hear such contrasting experiences, maybe cruising just isn’t for you.
