Review summary

I wish I would've known the stuggle to get staff to track down Food. I had three dinners and two breakfast on this 7 day cruise . It really was uncalled for- The spa ...I've been to spas all over the world. I have never experienced two negative trips and especially at the SAME spa. This is not normal. This is probably cruising with covid. The good side. . If you don't have dietary issues and could kick rocks with what should be a Spa- Take this cruise! There's alot to do. There so much fun for ALL ages. You can salsa dance your way to a skybike then *waterslide* your way back to the bar. Either way- my experience wasn't great but don't let that stop you into passing on this vessel. It's a great ship. There are plenty of dining options. So much entertainment you'd forget you had 5 out of 7 sea days. The ship is the destination-And for that it definitely did not disappoint!

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
This is where it gets negative.. As a vegan, I called before my cruise to inform staff of my diet. Before the pandemic. You call, board and make a menu and set dining times. I waited. Spoke with numerous staff. Had barely ANY food. One room service requested and it was cheap generic white sandwich bread(I never buy or eat) with shredded lettuce , tomatoes and cucumber with plain chips. It was offensive. No vegan options- I was led to the salad bar all the time. I barely ate on this cruise. I cried in frustration at the lack of seriousness and food options for 7days. No other cruise line is like this. NCL and celebrity always had many vegan HOT food options and they always made something. I lost weight on this cruise.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were many ways to be entertained. This cruise had great musicians, HILARIOUS comedians and one of the best cruise directors I've seen. Carnival did not disappoint on the fun side. The themed nights, dancing and kareoke . There was plenty to do! This is a good ship for 7days.

Deck 6 My balcony room was very spacious. Bathroom was big. Plenty of closet space/hangers. Always cleaned . I'd get deck 6 or higher. People complained about the noises on lower decks from the waves. I was next to club o2 and sky zone/arcade. No noise issues. It was perfectly next to the elevator and made everything super easy and accessible

Ship tip

This ship is clean. There is plenty to do and explore. We weren't able to enjoy cabo san Lucas but the ship had plenty to do anyways. Fun for ALL ages. And decent when stuck at sea. If you're vegan- eat as much as u can before boarding. Bring protein bars/snacks! The staff did not care or take it seriously.(multiple attempts/people/chef) Otherwise, get ready for shredded lettuce ,sliced tomatoes and cucumber!

Lido deck Hang out at pike outlets before you head to the terminal.
There's nothing to do there, and it's quiet boring. Plenty of shops and restaurants open after 11am.
Hacienda hotel Canival panorama had the best entertainment all around. First cruise that did not disappoint with this category. Everyone was talented and throughly entertaining. There was so much to do/see and immerse yourself in. Lido Great place to roam. We were denied entry. However I did catch this beautiful sunrise in cabo!
I'm sure it's beautiful and I also know this is cruising with covid.
They did thier best to make up for it!

I wonder how many "thanks for good review" commenters read the posting? I mean "I am Vegan" and "three dinners and two breakfast on this 7 day cruise" and "Guest services was not taking my request for food seriously" tells you right off the bat that either this is not an experienced cruiser or it is someone with a bone to pick (although she did seem to like most of the ship). Guest services is NOT where I would go for special diets, I go to the dining room and hit up the matre'd for special consideration for the wife (and did she even do it as part of her online paperwork?). As some one else pointed out, much Indian is vegan, and there were vegan options at most meals, even without having special considerations. Anyway, looking forward to my next run on the Panorama, hope they get rid of the apparent fake test reports and cards that seem to have been getting through.

I am vegan as well. When I board I go to the MDR and request vegan meals “chefs choice” and get a delicious surprise every night including dessert. Most people don't know this is an option, I did this on the Horizon last September, Pride Thanksgiving and just got off the Mardi Gras today. I will be on the Panorama B2B in July and will do the same. Hopefully this information will help you on future cruises.

Wow. The staff at the dinning area Rudy, Johnrey and Jason took care of our food requests effortlessly. Plus Agnus was in the front by the desk checked to be sure we were happy. Chi chi, Lermie, Regeberto were also great at special diets. These crew members made us feel like queens. Wish you could have had one of them serve you I know you would have loved your food experience.

You compare to other cruise lines but have you been on them since the Pandemic? There are a lot of food issues across all the cruise lines. With supplies issues, as well as with prep and planning. Sorry you had difficulties.

Thanks for the review.

Appreciate your feedback. Surprised you had difficulty finding food you could eat. We always seen options on Carnival ships that would be appropriate. Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of this.

I'm not vegan but in main dining it's vegan food on menu for breakfast brunch and dinner.. And also at specialty restaurant..

Researched the difference between vegetarian and vegan and Indian food. Most Indian vegetarian is vegan friendly, with a few exceptions like the raita which are not, being dairy based. No reason for her to have gone hungry.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Not knowing the difference between vegan and vegetarian, there was a great Indian vegetarian dish at dinner every night, and one for breakfast. Plus the few times I did the buffet there was usually one Indian vegetarian.
