Review summary

Overall we enjoyed the cruise. It was a crazy week across the US, which made things a bit nerve wracking! Nevertheless, we took full advantage of being in such a clean environment with great people and great food! Our ports were cut short which was disappointing but we made the best of it!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The previous sailing was unable to disembark until a passenger was tested for coronavirus. We were left sitting outside most of the day with little information. Not sure if Carnival had the answers we needed but it was frustrating nonetheless. They did eventually feed us and once it was decided that we would not be boarding were advised that we would be reimbursed for hotels. However we were not able to obtain our luggage as the porters had left at this point. The next day embarkation went very well!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great as usual! Guys is the best!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Emma was wonderful as a cruise director! My teens loved the Skyzone. We also liked the Skyride and ropes courses.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved all of the shows. My teens also enjoyed them. Very high energy and entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Considering how difficult the embarkation process was (they had to clean the rooms for embarkation twice as the previous passengers were let back into their rooms) they went above and beyond!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was super clean with washing stations and hand sanitizer everywhere. I am not a huge fan of the overall layout. I like the big open atrium like on the Magic.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved our location on deck 11. Literally steps from everything! We could hear the Lido parties but we bring a fan and slept great!

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Did whale watching excursion. Was ok. Probably just a bad day to see whales. Saw some way off in distance. Went back to port and shopped for a bit. Then went to public beach. Very clean, no vendors and great sand!

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
Considering how much time we spent here, we got to know Long Beach pretty well. Liked the board walk that led from out hotel to the terminal.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
Cruise Port not quite complete yet and most stores not open. Took taxi to Malecon. Very nice, clean and cool art. Walked down to Hotels where we thought we could get a day pass but were told they were sold out. Went back a bit to restaurants on beach and had a good lunch and enjoyed the beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Went very smooth!
