Review summary

Our cruise on the Carnival Panorama was amazing. The sea days were filled with things to do and entertainment or you could choose just to relax and be waited on. The Carnival tours that we booked offered the same great service as on the ship and were filled with a variety of places to see and activities. We will definitely be booking this ship again in the near future.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My embarkation experience was wonderful. We got to the port early and they let us go ahead and board. It was easy and everyone was polite and helpful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We are in the main dining room each evenin and we ate at the Lido deck buffet for breakfast and lunch. The food was plentiful and delicious at both places, and the servers and wait staff were out of this world attentive.

Piano Bar 88

5 out of 5

We saw Ben in the Piano Bar and he was not only a great piano player, he kept the whole audience involved in his comedy and it was delightful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We were on the Panorama and rode the cars around the top of the ship. It was an amazing experience. It was a little chilly on our cruise and I did not use the pools.

Sky Ride

5 out of 5

I am 62 and the friend that ride the sky ride with me is 64. We loved it! It was amazing being up at the top of the ship and you could see for miles. It was fun and exercise all in one. A great addition to the ship!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw 2 comedy shows with Jules and CJ that were hilarious and we spent time in the Piano Bar with Ben. That one was my favorite—he involved the crowd in everything and he was great!

Children's Programs

No children with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone on the ship goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are covered and you are having a great time. John was our room steward and he took excellent care of our room and us during our stay. We did not sit at the same table in the main dining room every night, but our servers left a great impression and they were Michael, Federico, and Ronald. We could not have asked for better service even when we asked for extra dishes to try or plates to go.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout of the ship was easy to traverse and figure out where you needed to be and how to get there The common areas were very clean and no trash was ever intrusive. The floors were s as sways being mopped to keep them clean and to keto the water areas dry for safety.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our cabin. We got to see the sunrise and sunset from our room if we liked and had lots of light from the window. The cabin had two bathrooms, and with 4 ladies together, that was just perfect. The beds were comfortable and John always had them made neatly when we returned in the evenings.

Ship tip

You can sit back, relax and enjoy or you can play and party. There is something for every type of person and every age.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

We did not do an excursion, but we enjoyed the Queen Mary.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

We loved this port for the shopping. We did an excursion tour with Libby as our tour guide and Edmundo as our bus driver. Libby was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide and we enjoyed our time with her. The only drawback was we would like to have had more time at each stop—especially at Jorge Cuervos.

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
We enjoyed this port as well and had an excursion to Quelite with Bricia as our guide and Artemio as our driver. Bricia was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and we saw many beautiful buildings and sights.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
This was my favorite port. The city was beautiful and we had a wonderful tour to a mountain villa to learn how to make real salsa and guacamole, took a walking tour, and ended up touring a chocolate company and shopping. Roberto was our charming guide and he was knowledgeable, funny and very attentive to what we wanted to hear about. Vincenzo was our driver and did a wonderful job on a narrow, very bumpy road.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were in deck two and carried our own luggage so our disembarkation was smooth and easy. We were off the ship around 8:30 am.
