Review summary

This was our first cruise on the Pacific side of Mexico and we enjoyed it. It got cold at times, especially when the wind was blowing, but for the most part the sun was shining and all was well. This is a very large ship, and there are some large crowds once again. Only had a few instances where we couldn't find a seat for whatever we wanted to do though.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
First time with priority embarkation, wonderful experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate everywhere including premium restaurants and it was all delicious. The sushi restaurant could have a more extensive menu.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The pools were too cold for me, but my son enjoyed them. Water slides, ropes course, and sky course were all fun, but the lines were very long when we were not in port. My son loved the trampoline park, but at $12-$18 per hour, visiting it adds up.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were pretty good and original. We especially enjoyed the violin trio that played in the Atrium every night. We did the piano bar sing-along one night and that was also fun.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My son's first visit to the kids club dint go well as he wasn't getting along with one of the other kids. But after that, everything went well. He loved the "science" events like mad scientist slime and exploding a volcano.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was great. Was especially surprised as this was a relatively new ship and everyone knew exactly what they were doing.

Ship tip

Make sure to explore all of the dining options. The Mongolian Wok and pasta bar are free for lunch but a little tough to find.

Ports of call

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
A great area to hang around prior to or after your trip.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Beautiful port. Did a whale watching tour and was not disappointed.

Mazatlan, Mexico Did not visit port

Stayed on the ship this day to enjoy some of the amenities without the lines.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

4 out of 5
We got off the ship and walked around. There is a mall across the street and a Walmart, but not a whole lot else going on right at the port.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
First time with priority, great experience.

Glad you enjoyed. We are leaving on the 29th of Feb on this cruise out of San Diego and hoping it will be a little warmer.

Good review. I wish the Trampoline was not an extra fee attraction... Our Tween-ager granddaughter will love the Science stuff in the Kids Club. I dislike long lines and long waits.. Let's hope the lines are shorter..
