Review summary

Great ports on this trip. Almost got off before we sailed when an officer interrupted the muster/safety briefing in Tampa! No concern for handicapped passengers! Also had a loud explosion while tendered in Belize. Lots of smoke coming out of the stack so something exploded in the engine room. Everyone acted like nothing happened even though they gave the emergency warnings and the fire crews were scrambling in their gear. Not cool to just cover this up - they should have been upfront. All the passengers which got off early were gone when this happened and they didn't even know about it! We really enjoyed the ports on this trip, the food, and the service. However, not sure I'd sail on this ship or any Carnival ship again when they have absolutely no concern for passenger safety or the handicapped passengers! I guess cruise at your own risk!

Embarkation

Very good and very smooth except an officer interrupted the safety/muster briefing, and just ended it saying we could go. This is the first ship that did not have a special process for handicapped passengers. When I asked I was told to go to our muster station and they would get with us but they never did.

The ship was clean and well maintained on the trip. I have no idea what the theme of the decor was going for but it's been recently renovated.

The balcony was a little shorter than we've had in the past but still nice.

On the same cruise and was sitting at atrium bar at that time. Was an announced drill. In fact they had 2 drill on this cruise.

I was on same ship. Yes drill was announced prior. Also have mobility issues. Was re as treated well. Staff and crew went out of there way to assist me. Sure you were on the Miracle 12/30-1/06.

Yes she is right they do drills while in ports.

Are you sure it wasn't a drill? This has happened several times on ships I been on. The crew drill while ship is in port, usually when most passengers are gone. It is announced and if you miss announcements it can be scary. Also, thick black smoke comes out of stack quite often.... Diesel fuel! If you let them know you are handicapped they accomadate. Cant read your mind.
