they just need to warn people of what to expect, what are you buying and whats there still for sell inside the boat. Don't get me wrong but just they need to be more consensus of tell the truth. Tickets are not cheap at all and you expect a good experience.
Embarkation

we were so excited to take the cruise, but once inside they try to charge for everything, the boat is nice but they need to make more activities in different parts of the boat to make fair for everyone.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

the buffets are fine for the first 2 days after that you are tired to eat the same, with long lines, the pizza its like a tortilla with cheese all burn up and the waiting is 10min, then you realize you can pay for the good food they sell on board$$$, and don't pay for bottomless package you barely can get drinks and only includes sodas, and you will need to wait like 5min to get yours because you can only get those at the bars, and you have to pay for other good drinks , i need to make a book about what to expect from the cruise, the reality!!!!!!!
Onboard Activities

Service and Staff

Its all about sell sell sell, i don't know who try harder to sell something, in the ports of call that we visited or inside the boat$$$, seriously you can hear the same complain in the elevators.
Some of the waiters were nice but others with bad aptitude, after long lines people was impatient.
Our room steward was really nice.
Ship Quality

We got the balcony room and I can tell you the panel in the balcony was dirty really bad, this was at the back of the boat (tail) and the floor dirty, and the chairs in bad condition. But inside the room was nice but we pay for that service too and you expect to enjoy the balcony :(
Cabin / Stateroom

Nice room but the bathroom toilet they need to put clorox, smells bad like public bathrooms, but the ones for public outside in the common areas those were nice and clean, no smell at all.
Ship tip
-Don't buy the bottomless package. -Bring your own clorox spray inside your room.
-Don't tip at all because at the end they will charge you $90.00 per person including kids, so they need to make people aware of that, unless you are very wealthy and have no problem with that.
-Prepare for long lines (food, shows, disembarkation)
To jaqt2, cruising may not be for you - I have friends who only go to all-inclusive resorts. It costs much more overall, but soda and drinks are included which makes them happy. On a ship, there will be opportunities to spend money, but going to a specialty restaurant or the spa is a choice we just don't make, It sounds like you ate at the buffet and missed the main dining room menu. The food there is always from very good to excellent. If your cabin is in the back, the diesel ash may soil the balcony, and the sea spray always covers the balcony windows a bit.... all part of being on a ship. We have cruised several lines, and it is our favorite way to vacation.
@Lab341 well I'm not naive enough to think they are not capable of "making a mistake" but it's more likely they'd have a music duel with their flute and saxophone bothering the neighbors... maybe blast their pandora on the broadway channel... I am the mom who TRIES to get them to go out with their friends. They'd rather stay home and play boggle on a Friday night. So not too worried.
My kids were good too, but I still told my two closest neighbors if a party breaks out at my house while I'm gone call this number for a family intervention. lol
That's what the website is for. You're making a mountain out of a mole hill by saying they should warn you about whatever it is you're concerned with. Carnival didn't lie to you. The site and its FAQ section are as straight forward as it gets. On the other side, They don't tell you at Disney World that you have to wait an hour or more to get on a 2 minute ride, so what's the problem?
I think people forget that prepaid grutuities isn't all the grutuities on board. You will still have the drinks % as well as any special dining ECT. Then they go remove them they have now taken it away from the bartender they raved about.
Is it possible that jaqt2 was shocked at the charges at the end of the cruise that was charge. I'm going on my first cruise and have been warned about the tips they automatically charge. One person told me there was over $1,000 charges to her Amer Ex card.
I'm impressed that those of you who responded were able to make heads or tales from this rambling mess. jaqt2 how is it that only you were lied to out of everyone who has cruised, I don't see what line or ship you sailed on but no one has claimed that they were lied to not even those who didn't enjoy their cruise experience, so why are you the only one who was not told the truth.
