Review summary

This was my 10th cruise with Carnival. I have always stayed with them because I have had no reason to try a different cruise line. However after this trip, I am ready to see if there is something better out there. The food was average at best, the activities they had planned daily were redundant, the service in the shops was horrible, the water in the pool on the Serenity deck was filthy and disgusting. It was literally brown in color! We tried going to guest services for the dirty pool water and was told they would "refresh the water" yet the dirty water was a daily problem. We also attempted to handle the issue with shops at guest services and walked away feeling as if it were a waist of our time.

We tried using the laundry service. We were told the laundry would be ready and delivered to our room by 10:30 the next morning. It was not. After multiple phone calls and yet another trip to guest services, the laundry was found that evening. No apologies given. We still had to pay for this lame service AND all of it started with a wasted $20 tip to our steward!

Small but cozy. We were in an interior cabin in the interior of the ship. Very well insulated so we heard no noise from outside of our room.

Don't you know that they bring the salt water in from the ocean if you get there before 11 a.m. it is crystal clear. We love June in the shops! She is very accommodating and attentive and super fun! We just love her and Carnival, of course! 58 cruises and counting with Carnival!

Honestly I am not hard to make happy,,,I am a retired firefighter,,,,any food will fill my belly,,,,I mostly used carnival because they offered a lot of single rooms for a single price,,,, I like to go relax ,read a book,,listen to my music,get some sun and lose some money in the casino

Try NCL. I have cruised with Carnival twice & they just don't compare in my opinion. I think you will be happy with NCL.

I know your feeling,,,,I am one cruise from platinum,,,last couple last year were ok,,,but the last one out of Miami going to Jamaica was unbelievably bad,,,domestic fights at 2 am,,,,it was like it was a free give away,,,,,haven't turned my back on carnival but haven't seen any great deals
