Review summary

First thing I expected was to NOT worry about paying for good food, and hidden fees. The buffet made an effort to look as if it is quality food but it is nothing compared to what you would eat at home even.

Yeah I wish all ships had the Tandoor. Love that food. Yum! Haven't been in a ship with Guys yet but will next month on Sunshine. Yay!

Well, I've found the Tandoor grill, Guys, and the Blue Iguana all very good Lido Deck diversions. The conch fritters we had (xtra $) at the red frog were better than the ones we had on land

Always the same buffet on every Carnival ship I have ben in so far.

At home you are not trying to serve hundreds if not thousands of people at one time. That's a little unfair to try to compare a buffet to food served at home. How unfortunate that your first cruise did not meet your expectations. I hope that your future cruises do.

I always try to compare the ship food to hotel food. I've always found the main dining room to be comparable to very nice hotel restaurants - not 5 star; but usually very good. The buffet, as you note, can be very variable.
