Review summary

Due to Hurricane Blanca, our itinerary was changed. Before we boarded, we asked to cruise another day. We were told to cruise today or we loose our money. We paid for Cabo and Puerta Vallarta and had to settle for Ensenada (which is a dump). Carnival did not offer any on board credits to compensate us for our money.

Carnival used be much generous in those situations, and much more accommodating. After Katrina, they were giving credits that weren't necessary, open access to telephones and Internet, and free transfers. That was after they ended up losing 700 fares for guests they left behind. They've grown since and had more problems, and I've noticed they haven't been nearly as accommodating since.

I am sure there was OBC offered.

Welcome to the world of cruising.  I was sorry to read that a hurricane caused a change in itinerary.  It can be very disappointing I know.  Thanks for posting your First review here.  I hope that your next cruise goes smoother.  At least you were safe on the ship.

we were sailing when the bird flu in MEXICO was highly active, we ended up with a $100/pp refund.

I'm sorry the hurricane ruined your trip but you got to understand that it's not Carnivals fault that the weather was bad. They still have to pay staff and gas. And in your contract it states that weather can change everything. We are getting on this weekend and worried about hurricane Carlos.

I was on the miracle last summer and we were supposed to go to Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria BC but we couldn't go to Ketchikan due to port construction and everyone on board got $200 credit

I think carnival should have compensated you. Protecting you from the hurricane was right but you didn't get what you payed for so that's not fair.
