Review summary

This is our fourth cruise with Carnival to Mexico.  Our experience has remained pretty consistent on each cruise.  Embarkation and disembarkation are very frustrating due to the lines caused by what appears to be a lack of staff. The welcome on board champagne is a nice touch.  The food has always been good, both in the MDR and the buffet with plenty of choices.  The wait staff are really attentive other than the brunch we had one day that took forever to arrive and was cold so we decided to stick with the buffet for lunch after that.

The cabins are very comfortable with lots of space.  The room stewards are exceptional.  The entertainment is only average.  The shows do not change from year to year and are not that great to begin with and are certainly not worth recycling every year.  The Comedy Store is really good with some very entertaining comedians. The adults only area on deck is really nice.  The gym has plenty of equipment but is much too warm, probably because they have located a giant Jacuzzi there.

The ports of call were really nice but it seemed that we could have stayed longer.

We have traveled with other cruise lines that cost more but for value for money Carnival is a pretty good bet.  They make every effort to make this a fun cruise and the passengers seem to be a younger crowd.
