Review summary
This cruise was a very good value and the service was superb. The one major annoyance is the embarkation process I don't know where the fault lies either with the New York Port Authority or Carnival, but we were on line for over two hours before we entered the ship. The process was horrendous. Last year we crusied with Celebrity and the Embarkation took about ten minutes. We went right from our cab on to the ship and were greeted with a glass of champagne....What a difference!!Ports of call

Pros: The ship is spacious and you never get a feeling of it being overcrowded. All in all the food is very good. The dining room staff is excellent. The stateroom staff always goes above and beyond.
Cons: The quality of the food was uneven. We have always thoroughly enjoyed the food on Carnival ships. However, at a few evening meals we found the meat tough. This was certainly disappointing. Also, there is not enough to do for the quiet middle-aged couple.
Recommends Carnival Miracle? Yes!
