This was my fourth cruise with Carnival and the absolute worst! Teenagers ran the ship each day! The curfew was not enforced. The rooms were hot! A portion of the staff was rude! Never saw the cruise director. The food was subpar!
Embarkation

Congested and unorganized!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Subpar. Ice or water was always out sporadically! Lemonade was awful!
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Entrainment was AWFUL! Except for the night club, but was packed with millennials and gen Z mostly.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
DJs were good. Not too many entertaining stage shows.
Children's Programs
My children are adults. The programs had to be boring because the teenagers ran the ship the entire time!
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
Our room steward Eddie was the highlight of the trip. Waiters were attentive although the food was subpar. Dining room staff was kinda rude. Constantly reaching over your food. The photo assistant Reneah was racially profiling us and was rude when we made her aware of the uncomfortable position she put us in. Didn’t offer assistance not one time. I wasn’t able to purchase pictures and I’m extremely disappointed and upset about it. My mom and daughter wasn’t provided with the correct card color. My daughter was given blue, yet this was her third cruise. My mom was given red, yet this was her fourth cruise.
Ship Quality

Food was always in the halls too long.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was hot. The AC was even off one day and people had to keep their room doors open for air.
Although the resort was beautiful, it was a hassle to get there. We had to stand in line for the tram for about 45 minutes. There’s only two trams to transport hundreds of people.
This was the absolute worst experience in the world! They made everything more difficult for senior and travelers with mobility issues. The line was so long and practically moved at a snail pace. One of the porters refused to assist us with our luggage once we made out of the line. He flat out said NO. My mother is in a scooter. How was she supposed to roll her luggage? Hitch it to the back of the scooter? We also did not go through customs. I will NEVER cruise out of Norfolk or on the Magic!
Sailing July on Carnival and complaining there were too many kids and teens is like booking a trip to Rome and then complaining there were too many Italians.
Appreciate your details. Frequently the computer somehow gets your card wrong (always check what your boarding pass says). A simple trip to Customer Service can fix it. Usually it’s because of a misspelling and/or adding initial to your name. It’s happened to us a few times. Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations.
