Review summary

Wow! Guess it could have been ok if you took half the people off!! Everywhere I went, I was either cut off, bumped into or nearly tripped.

Embarkation

Didn't expect long lines to get on the busses to go to the ship. My husband is a 100% disabled vet and needed help up the ramp. Someone was available with a wheel chair and was very helpful. We did not know in advance that this would be an issue. Once arriving on the ship, it was long walk to our room with little or no direction.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room was excellent for dinner. Chelsie was our server and she went above and beyond. Imam assisted and was also very helpful. We had a table of 19 with ages ranging from 1 to 68! Quite a challenge. We tried breakfast once in the dining room and Chelsie was once again excellent. The food was good and plenty of it. The specialty restaurants and buffets required long waiting lines most of the time. Food when we finally got it was good.

Onboard Activities

Pools and hot tubs were way over crowded... Mid pool was closed a lot of the time. Kids enjoyed the slides but no where for parents to sit. Two sets of stairs down to wait for drinks and food and two sets back up. NO bathrooms. Played 3 games of bingo for $58 with maybe 1000 people. Stood in line for an hour to buy cards?

Entertainment

Comedy nights were good and plenty of room for everyone. 80's night was fun but no where to sit and long waits for drinks.

Service and Staff

Once again Catricia and Imam were excellent. Our state room attendant, Chelsie, made our state room stay a pleasure. She was always cordial and greeted us by name.

Ship Quality

Layout may have been ok but very few signs to tell anyone where to go. By the time we figured out how to get from one place to the other, the cruise came to an end. Always had to wait for often full elevators.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very clean and kept clean, Way to small for two adults and a 14 year old. There was no info about handicap room availability nor scooter or wheelchairs. Balcony nice but overlooked one of the hot tubs that was always crowded and noisy.

Ship tip

Make sure you get ALL the info before you book. Room size, capacity, activity availability, excursion details, how you will get on the ship and how you will get off (walk up two decks and down two decks) far you will have to walk every day for a meal and how long you will stand in line.

Met in the area for disembarking for a snorkel excursion. Could not get off the ship in time. There were NO signs to tell us where to go. We were able to track down the Cruise member that led the disembarking and he was able to get us on to the Blue lagoon dolphin excursion. It was nice but late because of weather. There was NO one to tell us where to go when we got off the boat. The walk to the where the dolphins were was quite a ways and the shows had been suspended because of weather. No one to tell us that. Waited for and hour and one of the other passengers went to find out what was going on and told us we could go eat. Our snorkel excursion was supposed to include Rum punches. There were no rum punches at the Blue lagoon bar and the bahama mamas were $17.00. We never saw Nassau and had no idea how to go there nor the time. Going back on the ship, my husband was asked to put his cane thru the scanner. He has trouble walking with out it. They offered no alternative.

This port was easy to get to. Not far to walk. Disembarked after breakfast and had plenty of time for shopping and get back to the ship. Not much else there and very little info on what there was there.

Waited for wheel chair assistance about an hour and a half. The assistance was very good and careful but people carrying luggage quickly filed in ahead of us. When we got to the elevator, my grand daughter and I were asked to go down the elevator as we were not in wheel chairs. We did and waited almost 45 minutes for my husband to come out of the elevator...... preceded by many people with their luggage. After re joining my husband we went to our zone where we had to find our luggage and bring it to customs. Luckily, customs took us to a side room where we did not have to stand in line. Then we were able to find a porter and took the Handicap bus to the parking lot. NONE of this info was available before disembarking.
